2017 Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Fair. He is an unbelievably bad gameday coach.

Yeah. My take on it is that some coaching hires seem good on paper, but you can never truly know when someone hits the tipping point and becomes past their prime. Some guys are capable of adjusting their coaching philosophies over time to stay relevant and stick around to old age. Some guys are incapable of adjusting and get phased out. I think Hue, and maybe Williams as well, falls into that latter group.

I also think Hue is a member of the Mike Brown "Great in the Interview Room" club. He's a likable guy and he interviews well, so he sticks around.

Thought he played well. For me the biggest concern with Coleman is staying on the field. He looks good when he’s on it

He was a dog out there. He beat Ramsey off the line more than a few times but when Kizer locks on to a receiver he really locks on. So if he locks on to Britt on the right side he won't even look t his left. It was so damn frustrating to watch. If you go look at the film he never surveys the field. He reads the defense pre snap and then he makes a predetermined decision on where he's going to throw the ball. That's why a lot of his balls look forced and it looks like receivers are dropping passes but Kizer is just launching passes at them before they are even free. He's forcing balls into guys regardless on if they are covered.

The most infuriating play yesterday by far was the play late in the game when he was scrambling to his left and had about 30 yards of open field in front of him and he inexplicably launched a pass acroos the middle of the field to DeValve into triple coverage. he basically threw a jump ball that Ramsey causally batted down that could've been easily intercepted. We're all standing up in the stands like holy shit he's about to run for 30 yards and out of nowhere he just throws it 40 yards across the middle of the field. Man those stands emptied out so fast after that play. I feel like that single play right there ended Kizer for a lot of people. i was absolutely shocked that he did that. Under no pressure and had 30 yards and the sideline to his advantage and he just launched it. Kizer really lost that game for us on his own yesterday. Kessler would've won that game based on his decision making alone. This was by far the most disappointing performance from Kizer all season. Was given pretty good field position all day. The team didn't commit a single penalty. Was playing a warm weather team that didn't want anything to do with the cold yesterday. Their whole sideline on the JAX side was bundled up and under coats and heaters. They fumbled the ball like 3-4 times. They didn't want to throw the ball. Their kicking game sucked. They were begging Kizer to take that game and he insisted otherwise.

Watching at home, another frustrating play was I think a 3rd down, he had what might have been Coleman, isolated in single man coverage with no safety help on the right side of the field. The color man briefly circled it on the telestrator before the snap.

Kizer got the snap and didn't even glance at him. Looked to the left the entire time and threw incomplete.

Man he did that every play. He's not ready to be an NFL QB right now. I have no doubts that Cody Kessler would've won that game yesterday. Kessler would've went through progressions and at least take advantage of some good field position and get us in FG position. We opened the game with a 50 yard KO return and it ended with nothing. That should've at least been a FG.

I was not a Coleman fan, but yesterday he looked good. He was catching balls in tight windows, made crisp cuts and got open for his qb. Really couldnt ask more from him, i am starting to turn on him and think it was a good pick if he stays healthy. Big if at this point, but we can hope.

Been telling you guys Coleman is a potentially elite WR talent for ages now. His only problems have been shit QB play and injuries.

If he can stay healthy, he's a prime candidate for a year three breakout next season.

You have been, and its not that he cought 6 for 80 yards, its the tight windows and the one sideline tip toe catch he made. They were good catches that usually only top WR's make.

And maybe it was the Jags defense, but why not try a WR screen or 2 with Coleman? He has elite elusiveness and getting the ball to him in open space should be as important as doing the same for Duke.

Naturally, he made a huge drop in crunch time though.

I am also hoping between then draft and free agency we get him some legit help as well. If we can find some solid receivers to play around him, I think Coleman will shine a lot easier since the offensive unit should start clicking better with more weapons.

I really hope Gordon can stick this time and gets his shit together...the potential with him and Coleman on the outside would be outstanding! Find a slot guy and a rb in the draft this year and we are in business with offensive playmakers.

I think Coleman would actually thrive best in the slot.

Hence, my intense interest in Allen Robinson.

Robinson-Gordon-Coleman?

Forget about it. There's no better WR corps in the league,

Not sure he could take the beating over the middle thou...

The problem is he hasn't been able to prove he can take the beating of a post thanksgiving flag football game let alone the beating he'll get from the slot in the NFL.
