2017 Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Nice that it only took our "offensive guru" coach until week twelve to figure out that it was a good idea to give our best offensive player the ball.

Dude is seriously such a fucking joke man ...

Yup. I mean, I get not giving up on Crowell, but the fact that Duke's usage went down for like six straight weeks on a winless team despite the fact that he basically made something happen every time he got the ball is fucking criminal.

Duke may not be the best offensive player any more with Coleman back, but he's still been a much better, more consistent option than Crowell has been all year. And even if Duke can't handle Crowell's usage, a smart coach would at least be trying to get him the ball a few more times a game because, you know, he's just good at football.

What will be Hue's excuse if we add some real weapons next year? Is he really going to be forced into playing his best guys more or will Randall Telfair still get the nod to start games :chuckle:

We're getting closer than most think to having "real" weapons... Gordon (pray for sobriety), Coleman, Njoku, Devalve, Duke. Add a good RB and one more WR (Pryor/draft) and suddenly we look good in our skill positions. It's the QB we need to hit with the #1 pick or FA and the Browns will rise.

God I wanted Bouye so bad last off-season. Him and Ramsey are just nasty starting CBs.

at WAS
vs LAR
at DET
at ATL
at CAR

4 out of 5 on the road against teams that will be fighting for a playoff spot plus their injuries and QB situation are bound to catch up to them. If they win 3 out of 5 I will gladly give them their props. It won't be easy though. And that game against DET is on the road and it's on a Thursday night for a short week. Plus they already loss to DET at home earlier. It will be interesting.

Seems like this nonsense is better suited for around the nfl section

A couple of things:

1. This team isn't really all that far off on the offensive side of the ball. Seriously, Duke, Njoku and hopefully Gordon is an awesome core of playmakers. Especially if Njoku can make any kind of jump heading into next year. He's still so young. If you can sign a guy like Allen Robinson to pair with Gordon, whoever the starting QB is next year is going to be in GREAT shape. I personally think it will be Alex Smith.

2. Wtf is up with the Corey Coleman disappearing act? I mean come on. This guy has had more than enough time to get this right and it just seems he can't be consistent in the slightest. I still think the talent is there.

What are the odds Gordon is back next year? I'd like to say as close to 0% as possible but I really think it would be beneficial for him to return.

He only had 4 targets last week, one was a massive overthrow, another was Kizer trying to kill him. If he can't even be put in a position to make a play, how can you honestly judge his performance?

That being said, he would've had a great game last week if he caught that damn TD
