2017 Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He's played 16 games, or one season. You're ready to call him a bust after essentially one season?

Not ready, but at this point it is very possible. I thought I'd know by the end of this season but if I do that, it's about 90% he's a bust and I really don't want him to be so maybe give him next year. That said, the fact that he's been here two seasons and has basically missed nearly a season's worth of games, is also a problem.

Fluke injuries really suck.

The Chargers DBs were playing extremely physical with our WRs. Watching how hard Gordon had to work to get off the line was a pretty good indication of this. Gordon beat it because he is so much bigger and stronger. I have to think if they played Coleman that way he would have a really tough time getting off the line let alone getting any separation.

At some point, the injuries aren't flukes.
It's the NFL, on any given play, someone can have their career ended. Football is a brutal game, shit happens sometimes.

"Cleveland also has roughly $117 million to potentially spend in free agency."

I mean this is just egregious. Spend some of this shit please and improve our roster.

They have to be going all in for something right? I mean we can buy a whole new offense for that money lol.

The idea won't be to just make a guy, or guys, rich. They need to find the guy, or guys, who will provide relentless effort on a potentially bad team and pay HIM.

I'm pretty sure that's been to plan to spend it wisely. I think we can all agree that spending a lot of our cap the last two offseasons would've been a disaster. Next offseason and next draft are really what this FO has been building up for. Just look at the previous drafts and FA's. It all points to 2018 being the year to make a major move. That's why I don't think canning the FO is exactly the move to do. Especially when our 1-27 coach wanted to blow it on AJ McCaron.

2. Wtf is up with the Corey Coleman disappearing act? I mean come on. This guy has had more than enough time to get this right and it just seems he can't be consistent in the slightest. I still think the talent is there.

He only got four targets yesterday, and the ones I remember were bad throws. Not really much he can do when we have a single-read QB who was looking toward another receiver the entire game.

At some point, the injuries aren't flukes.

People were saying the same thing about Keenan Allen a year ago when he suffered yet another season-ending injury.

Then he came back and had an entire healthy year and is one of the five best receivers in the NFL.

Mike Thomas is a very nice player, but he obviously was drafted into one of the best possible situations a young WR could ever find himself in.

He has a Hall of Fame QB who's greatest attributes are reading defenses and accuracy AND he gets to play at least 9 games a year (all home games + the Falcons road game) indoors on fast climate controlled turf? Sounds like a recipe for success if I've ever heard one.

Brees' completion percentage the last two years is over 70% :chuckle:
