2017 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Who is your top 5 in our system right now?

Zimmer the clear number one.

Beyond him, my next four would be (in no order) McKenzie, Mejia, Bradley, Aiken.

Not mentally ready for off-season stuff yet. But I'll put a Top 20 list together at some point.

Santana is answering a lot of tweets, a lot of inspiring words. Makes me even more happy after a game 7 loss. These dudes are hungry for a winner and they won't stop. He's talking December to start the process again.

But this tweet makes me proud.

lol. Not saying I'm a great mathematician but those questions were probably easier than opening a can of soda, for Bauer, knowing his background. Give him a trig integral or something.

Yeah, that's probably about 7th grade math :chuckle:

I am a great mathematician, but I think it was just cool that he did that more so than a great measuring stick of Bauer's mathematical mind lol

I would also say you could put Yandy Diaz on the short list as well since no one doubts he will be on the team by next season. Zimmer, Allen and Meija will also be in spring training with the big boys, but they are a few seasons away.

Though Brantley should be 2017 by your list since he has a team option year for 2018. Kluber cannot become a free agent before 2019 while Chisenhall is arbitration eligible in 17 and 18 and not a free agent until 19. Guys like Gomes and Kipnis have team option years in their contracts so most of the guys we have are on team friendly contracts. We need to extend guys like Salazar, Lindor and Bauer here soon, so you may see that next offseason with Salazar, Bauer.

You've mentioned a few times that Zimmer is a few seasons away.

That's not necessarily true at all. He's starting in Columbus.

For real...

Odds of him making his debut are fairly high this season as is. Even higher if Naquin's 2nd half struggles carry over.

Which they will. The jury is out on Naquin; throw him hard and high, he can't touch it. Huge hole above his belt.
