They'll be playing 5 teams that finished this year ranked higher than Michigan, 3 of them on the road.

PSU will probably take a step back without Barkley and Moorehead. Even then, I don't know if UM is favored in that game.

Schools like Boise State, Utah would have national championships if you go by how the old system was.

(Boise State IMO? Was the REAL UNDISPUTED National Champion in 06. Went undefeated. Florida lost in the regular season)

So this is a conversation i just had with my brother in law (boise st grad). Boise st had just as much right to claim a national championship as anyone that year, and i think they got royally screwed not being in the championship game. If you go undefeated regardless of who you play thats something to be recognized.

Jesus i wish the NCAA would change the playoff to 8. 5 conference winners, reserved spot if a non major conference team is in the top 10-15, then 2 other spots. Non major conference teams get screwed as much as anyone.

I think you either do the 8 team set up or do it pre-BCS

I actually quite like the concept of the BCS. It was considered a big deal if you played in the Big ten to play for the Rose Bowl, Big 8 to be in the Orange Bowl, SWC to play in the Cotton Bowl, etc.

The BCS kinda pissed that away.

You just do that or the 8 team if you don't want split national champions.
