2017 NBA Finals | Game #2 | Cavaliers @ Warriors | June 4th, 2017 @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Liggins brings nothing on the offensive end. Like Tristan, he barely needs to be guarded and the Ws would expose that. PJ Tucker and Liggins would not have made a difference this series. There's no doubt that if the Cavs get swept or lose in 5 they need to get younger and they need 2 way players, but I do not think they can find enough to compete with this GS team the next two years. Thanks to Durant, we have a nearly unprecedented situation in NBA history. As has been said, the league has been broken. THIS YEAR is the year to beat the juggernaut and I don't think it's happening.

There probably are better option than Liggins or PJ Tucker at this point but those were viable options this season. At the end of the day I think both would have given us a better chance with more versatility on defense.

Might need to resign Korver for the pure purpose of trading him at the deadline for a two way player. He has value and hopefully they get him on a good number to be tradable. Cedi and Channing Frye might equal another piece to the equation.

I think the hope going forward is to get enough defensive versatility and two way players that we can ride LeBron, Kyrie, and Love for enough offense while we grind it out on defense with almost everyone else.

Sitting here thoroughly pissed...and thinking, can you imagine Bron at the Bucks...the Freak and Bron tearing it up...Middleton and Delly throwing 3s...now that would be some seriously entertaining shit...Europe stepping and jamming to a title

I can't imagine other players around the league watching this and not thinking about taking matters into their own hands. Seeing GS just destroy teams while dancing and flexing has got to be infuriating. We're gonna see more players just say "f*ck it" and join up to take on the Warriors...since there doesn't seem to be any backlash as they're about to hopskotch to a title while being praised as the GOAT team smh.

I have no idea what moves are to be made in the offseason but I don't see Cavs just sitting idly. LeBron won't allow it...

The problem is thst there AREN'T any feasible surefire moves to make to make us better and more competitive with GS other than trading JR for Kawhi, Butler, or Giannis. Frankly, our best hope is that our youngest star, Kyrie, makes a Curry like improvement.

Great. And it might only have taken us a wasted playoff run to realise versatile defenders are important against this version of the Warriors, even over pure shooters. Something about the postseason has always had the effect of psyching out shooters to the point where they shouldn't be solely depended on. Great shooting comes and goes but great defense stays on every possession

Special shout out to coward Durant who has assembled the greatest roster of shooters/two way players the league might never see. Any good team would also win if they added an mvp at the cost of a few roleplayers

The coward really stripped my love for the game. I don't see how this is accepted and applauded throughout the league by the media, former players, and even fan bases. (Although I expect most are against it because it killed their general liking too)

I might even try to skip these next few games, I doubt my heart could, but my head really wants me too. Problem is I involve my life to much in this, everyday I discuss basketball/Cavs/LeBron with somebody. Anybody. Call it an addiction, I guess.

But I pretty much let Durant take my soul which makes his stupid Slim Reaper nickname even better for him.

I feel so terrible for LeBron, his talent doesn't deserve this shit. He ripped our hearts out 7 years ago, but still, he does not deserve this showcase, and he can't even do anything about it because it's out of his control this time.

We fans need to rejoice and connect more than ever before because this site is great, and basketball brought us together to stay together.

Yes, it definitely is a depressing time.

My dude only 3fan bases arnt bitching about that Coward that's GSW, GSW bandwagons, and LA dumbass who think Kobe can touch Lebron. Otherwise the hate is real but BESPN loves currys family so they hype them

Now I know what it feels like for the teams who have to face the Cavs only to find out quickly they have no chance..

A lot of you are thinking its over. Is it? If the Cavs win game 3 its a series again. I get the other team is different than last year and they are stacked but I will never count out an LBJ-led team. Sure I am mad, sure I know realistically it looks bad. But until loss 4 happens there is still a shot at this.

The task seems daunting. It's like the Cavs have to play a perfect game at the same time the W's lay an egg but a lot of us were thinking negatively last season and the comeback happened. Again not trying to compare because its completely different but my point is this isn't over.

I am realistic. I know its unlikely. But there is still that feeling.

They came out and played defense and were offensively rolling and then they got into one of their offensive lulls in the 2nd half and GS never looked back. The thing is you have to play defense during those lulls to sustain the drought. But hey, Irving struggled and it seemed as though only James/Love showed up and the bench did for a half.

This team is too good to already be counted out. Sure I am mad and disappointed but Im watching game 3 with the same energy and enthusiasm I had for these last 2.

That changed the whole game.

GS was going to make their run in the 3rd. They've done it for two straight games. We could have got a nice lead before that happens.

Seriously. It was 82-86 with 5:30 or so left in the 3Q. Close game at that point. GS went on a 16-4 run, and suddenly, literally 5 minutes later, it was 86-102

Lue did not recognize it in time.

So who do we have to threaten/hurt or kidnap and hold hostage to make that happen?

They just continue getting away with illegal shit.
The double dribble heard around the world. Still had the audacity to strike a pose knowing how lucky he was the ref didn't call it

Lebron plays good D and makes him pick up his dribble. Refs bail him out by letting him put the ball on the floor again. Everyone and the media celebrates Lebron getting crossed

Giving Steph 3 fts for that half court heave?

That play happens all the time and the player is never awarded free throws.

But Steph thought he should get free throws so of course the ref obliged.

That was cringeworthy to watch.
Ya that was sickening, watching that obnoxious a_hole prance around with his 3 fingers in the air What a piece of S***
