Liggins brings nothing on the offensive end. Like Tristan, he barely needs to be guarded and the Ws would expose that. PJ Tucker and Liggins would not have made a difference this series. There's no doubt that if the Cavs get swept or lose in 5 they need to get younger and they need 2 way players, but I do not think they can find enough to compete with this GS team the next two years. Thanks to Durant, we have a nearly unprecedented situation in NBA history. As has been said, the league has been broken. THIS YEAR is the year to beat the juggernaut and I don't think it's happening.
There probably are better option than Liggins or PJ Tucker at this point but those were viable options this season. At the end of the day I think both would have given us a better chance with more versatility on defense.
Might need to resign Korver for the pure purpose of trading him at the deadline for a two way player. He has value and hopefully they get him on a good number to be tradable. Cedi and Channing Frye might equal another piece to the equation.
I think the hope going forward is to get enough defensive versatility and two way players that we can ride LeBron, Kyrie, and Love for enough offense while we grind it out on defense with almost everyone else.
