2017 NBA Finals | Game #2 | Cavaliers @ Warriors | June 4th, 2017 @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It's been a while, Cavs Fans.

I'm just here to say the following:
FUCK KEVIN DURANT.

THANK YOU LEBRON.

I hated the Heat, but somehow KD out Heat-ed the Heat.
I hope history treats him accordingly. No matter if he gets more rings than LeBron, he will NEVER BE LeBron James.

He should be seen as the guy who left a team one game away from the Finals, after being up 3-1, to join the team that beat them and went to the Finals.

Don't get swept, Cavs.

I'm sad because this might be the end of my favorite Cavs team ever. Bron, Kyrie, Kevin, 2 Knicks United, Frye and RJ.
The last few listed might be gone to make room for someone, anyone to handle the Durant issue. I doubt it'll happen. And even if it did, it won't be the same. Just a "going through the motions" regular season, playoffs, and then another Finals where the Cavs end up being underdogs.

At least they got one ring, and an EPIC one at that.

I should still believe. Is TitleTown still here? Can he fool me into believing this won't be worse than 2007?

He should also be known as the guy that was absolutely destroyed by Dirk in 2011. :chuckle:

That wasn't Durant, though... I might need to edit my post.

Durant has to go to a 73-win team to be what he is now. I just hope for a complete implosion and collapse of the Worriers at this point.

You would think the refs would make the warriors work harder with their super team.

We could have built a nice lead early in that game but fuck Cleveland right?
That changed the whole game.

GS was going to make their run in the 3rd. They've done it for two straight games. We could have got a nice lead before that happens. To at least make the 4th Qrt interesting but no.

Sidenote: The refs not calling the 4th foul on KD when he hacked Shump at the rim was egregious. You could just feel the game about to flip after that.

Also...LeBron just 5 fts. Crazy.

The narrative was set for this game.

Any time LeBron has 5 fts I'm skeptical. But damn, all he did was go to the rack.

League is looking like a gd joke right now.

As crappy as Kyrie played....
2 fts
14 for Curry

They are grabbing, pulling, etc on Kyrie. Yet we couldn't breathe on Steph today. Not saying its the reason we lost. However, that brutal first half killed any chance to jump out in front of them. Then the protecting of Durant with 3 fouls in the 3rd.

The coward really stripped my love for the game. I don't see how this is accepted and applauded throughout the league by the media, former players, and even fan bases. (Although I expect most are against it because it killed their general liking too)

I might even try to skip these next few games, I doubt my heart could, but my head really wants me too. Problem is I involve my life to much in this, everyday I discuss basketball/Cavs/LeBron with somebody. Anybody. Call it an addiction, I guess.

But I pretty much let Durant take my soul which makes his stupid Slim Reaper nickname even better for him.

I feel so terrible for LeBron, his talent doesn't deserve this shit. He ripped our hearts out 7 years ago, but still, he does not deserve this showcase, and he can't even do anything about it because it's out of his control this time.

We fans need to rejoice and connect more than ever before because this site is great, and basketball brought us together to stay together.

Yes, it definitely is a depressing time.

Jordan never had to beat the 2012-14 Spurs, or the 2014-17 Warriors. LeBron beat each once.

LeBron is GOAT. He has nothing left to prove.

Cavs added good pieces and are a better team than last year. However, how do you match a team adding one of the 2 or 3 best players in the league for basically nothing? Answer: You don't.

Cavs have 4 good defensive players; Shump, JR, LBJ, and TT. TT can't play the 5 when Warriors go small with Durant at the 5. Go out and find strong defensive players, that can can give something on the offensive side of the ball. Delly and Liggins were both able to annoy Curry. Find a forward that can take defensive pressure off LeBron, maybe Derrick Williams is that guy or not. Lue didn't really give us a chance to find out.

Finding 6-7 good defender that's Lue will trust and the rest of the roster can be mixed and matched in. Love has grown defensively and maybe this series will be a kick in the pants with Kyrie to work on that end of the floor.

I kept saying in the season the formula for success for the Cavs were to keep 2 ball handlers and 3 good defenders on the floor at all times. Against the warriors I think we need 4 good defenders and 2 ball handlers.

Keeping Liggins or Delly and getting PJ Tucker over Korver might all this team have needed. Lue just needs to get this team back to the defensive team it once was and the front office needs to be on board with that.

Maybe I am crazy but I think we have another title in us before the Lebron era is over for good, just probBly won't be this year. No way in hell they can come back with the same roster. Will it be easy to remake some of the roster? No. Can it be done to give us a much better chance next year? I hope and think the answer is yes!

Seriously, lebron had to go all out for this to even be a contest, otherwise inevitable sweep.

Liggins brings nothing on the offensive end. Like Tristan, he barely needs to be guarded and the Ws would expose that. PJ Tucker and Liggins would not have made a difference this series. There's no doubt that if the Cavs get swept or lose in 5 they need to get younger and they need 2 way players, but I do not think they can find enough to compete with this GS team the next two years. Thanks to Durant, we have a nearly unprecedented situation in NBA history. As has been said, the league has been broken. THIS YEAR is the year to beat the juggernaut and I don't think it's happening.

I also think they can remake the roster but question is if Griff is the guy to do it. Sometimes I think he has too much of the Sun's dna in him and doesn't value defense enough.

on the upside, the NBA will tank because no one will watch if they believe their team doesn't have a chance.

and if that happens, hell... LeBron still came back to Cleveland and won a ring and he'll still be one of the best ever, one of the never-ever duplicated stories of the NBA.

Giving Steph 3 fts for that half court heave?

That play happens all the time and the player is never awarded free throws.

But Steph thought he should get free throws so of course the ref obliged.

That was cringeworthy to watch.
