Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why are we dumb for being more excited about Zimmer, Naquin, Yandy? I even like Almonte more now.

Almonte isn't capable of hitting RHP like Lonnie is proven to.

Zimmer hasn't proven anything at the MLB level, and I will never expect young guys/rookies to come in and blow the doors off stuff, because that's unfair and how you say something dumb like a 22 year old will never provide anything in the MLB.

Naquin doesn't belong in this conversation because he's our starting CF already. And Yandy isn't an OFer.

Seriously...Lonnie and Guyer RF platoon is maybe the best OF platoon in baseball right now...yet we have people who act like Lonnie is easily replaceable or he sucks. He consistently hits RHP well, and that in itself is valuable.

Go find me a sure bet to push a .800 OPS vs RHP, then we'll talk about how it's time for Lonnie to go.

Hmm. I guess our young guys will never play in the future.

Id rather use those good credentials and deal him.

I'm good with this once we have replacement ready to go. Would like to see Zimmer gets some hits at the major league level before we clear out a productive player.

Almonte just isn't as good as Lonnie; although I would like to see him eventually stay on the roster platooning with Naquin. I'm not a big a Austin Jackson guy.

Yes...they will...

Remember who you are talking to, buddy...no one has been talking about "the future" more than me the past few years...

But none of the 3 you mentioned are giving us what Lonnie gives against RHP this year...in the future, sure...this year? No one has any idea.

I do think they may explore moving him this off season, but it would be dumb to give up on him in a year with high expectations for something considerably less proven.

Somebody has to go.

And no...no one "has to go".

Almonte has an option, he will be optioned to Columbus. Good insurance for an injury, or the more likely thing to happen, Austin Jackson continuing to be shitty Austin Jackson from the last few seasons.

Hey, I'm for Lonnie staying this year, but next year i want the younger guys to have opportunities and create their moment's. Its not Lonnie's fault I'm over his spot. Blame the great drafting for once.

Which is exactly what I am saying...

But this year, you know, the year that matters right now...Lonnie will provide more than Zimmer, Almonte, and Diaz, because of his proven track record against RHP, while those 3 have no proven skills to rely on to this point at the MLB level.

But Zimmer will be making an appearance at some point this season, and most likely starts on the MLB roster during next years Opening Day, and we already have Lonnie's replacement in Naquin on roster...but we are talking about next year.

You, and some others in our fan base, were talking about giving up on Lonnie right now, which would be dumb, which brings me back to my initial comment on the portion of Indians fans who are saying we should just drop Lonnie and roll with Almonte...dumb.

Arizona posted its most runs through its first four games in franchise history -- interesting. That was per ESPN I think.

I am all for trading Chisenhall next season, but I don't see us trading him this season at all since Zimmer does need another minor league season, and Guyer and Chisenhall combo is potentially the best RF production in baseball. The only reason why I am looking at even moving Chisenhall next season is the fact he will be a free agent in 2019 and since we have to add Zimmer to the 40 man roster, we may as well get what we can for him.

I like Chisenhall probably the least of anyone on these boards, but trading him now makes absolutely no sense to me. We are going to subtract from the team in the middle of the season, we will look to improve as the season goes along. Jackson will only be in Cleveland for one season and Honestly Almonte is a very nice fourth OF since he is a switch hitter with a solid glove normally. We have a good/bad issue into next season since we gotta find at bats for legit hitters. Though this season he is the odd man out since he has options, but if Jackson starts playing poorly he will be back up.

@BimboColesHair where do you see Allen and Zimmer fitting in Defensively going forward? It's a good issue, but I trying to figure who is in CF and who is on the corner projection wise.

When Allen is ready and is up, I expect this, barring one of them getting traded:

LF: Naquin
CF: Allen
RF: Zimmer

Almonte would probably be a good scat-back in the NFL.

While the Cavs are destroying the Hawks I took time to find me a lineup card:
