What I'm surprised by is no one took a big swing on a one year deal like the Bulls did with Jabari Parker. The Pelicans could have given him a huge one year and probably should have. AD probably isn't asking to be traded if Cousins is back and playing fairly well.

I forget where I read it but I'm pretty sure they did. He declined.
 
Anyone think we'll get Doncic/Porzingis vs. Simmons/Embiid in the NBA finals someday? Don't want to get ahead of myself, but those are surely the best U25 duos in the NBA today, and that would be an incredibly fun matchup in a few years when they're all in their prime.

Possibly, but the bigger question is if Dirk will be coming off the bench for the Mavs in 4 years when this happens, lol.

So the projected cap is at $109M, they are sitting at $76M without cap holds. Porzingis adds roughly another $5 mil.

It seems pretty feasible. Even more likely if they can dump Barnes, Lee or Powell's expiring.

Pretty sure they had Peja & Schremph at various points. Had a bunch of other white guys too. Van Horn, Bogut, Lee; the list goes on.

Yes I am white, but I never played for the Mavs, and besides I am really not that good.

Yeah, wow. Vucevic seems like almost a worst-case scenario for them; they could in theory go for any max free agent next summer, and they seem like an attractive destination, too.

Well, keep in mind I only factored in one cap hold. Theyd likely retain a few other guys on minimum deals. Cuban has a type thats for sure. Not sure if any big names fit that type. Nor can I blame him with everything that is going on right now. I would kill to be in their position.
