2018 Buckeyes Football

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Didn’t watch the game.

Anyone want to fill me in on how we allowed 31 points? I think I saw that they had some really big plays. What areas of the D need improvement? Where were the lapses? Was it backups that let up most of that? How was the defensive coaching as far as player preparation and play calling?

I am not worried just love hearing insight from the buckeye faithful.
Just breaking in all new LBs and Safeties. As colonel said, the angles they took on those big plays were just bad. Learning experience. Jordan Fuller being out definitely hurt.

Something to keep an eye on for sure, as it's a lot of new guys there. No need to worry yet though.

Or in 2 weeks when he comes back, people have forgotten about it.
Fans will have, but the media won't have. Guarantee he gets questions on the whole thing the first time he speaks to the media. Perhaps he won't get as many questions as less attention will be payed to it.

Is Haskins really this good or is a product of the line/receivers?

He has been elevating his teammates, not the other way around. Receiver play has been poor for years due to bad coaching and inconsistent passers at QB...Hartline & Haskins seemed to have fixed that.

He appears to be the truth. We'll find out just how good he is against better opponents. If he is even close to as good as he's been, OSU is going to roll over just about everyone and Haskins will be one & done.

I’d imagine TCU comes at him guns blazing with blitzes since he’s inexperienced. Hope that’s an area of focus. Haskins’ arm talent is unreal though.

He's pretty good, they're pretty good.

Oregon State and Rutgers are other worldly terrible.

TCU is also pretty bad, though slightly better than the above.

The tests get tougher, but its good that this team has three weeks worth of terrible defenses to build the chemistry they'll need as the games get tougher.

TCU is bad?

Havent watched them yet this year.

I'm probably being a bit too harsh on their defense, Banogu is a good player and they can get after a QB.

But I don't think they've got much tbh.

They've been a perennial top 20 defense by advanced metrics since they joined the B12. Haven't watched them this year. They did lose a bit to graduation and injury this year, but seems like they'll probably be pretty solid.

I fully expect them to do whatever it takes to bring pressure to try to shake Haskins up, even if it means selling out to do so.

Shouldn't be very difficult to counter.

If we can't score on TCU then we got some problems.
