Fuck.

You're right.

Here. The solution is a picture of an air-brushed perfectly man-scaped Mayfield chest.

I'm not even gay and I want to fuck him, so he must be doing something right.

He's good looking but that photo is beyond ludicrously bad.

I will repeat the joke I made when that cover first came out 100 pages back: "He looks like a refugee from a 90s gay power-bottom porn." The title?

Bottoms Up: Baker Mayfield Takes Charge

Alternative title: Baker Mayfield's Top to Bottom: Versatility, Flexibility and Spunk Make the Man.

Just tells me he's a team player, willing to be top or bottom as the situation requires.

:chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:!

I always thought this was obvious but I'm glad Highsmith actually addressed it.

I would have preferred more aggressive secondary play at times... But why were fans fooling themselves into thinking we had the personnel at corner to warrant safety blitz packages, etc.?

Taylor, McCourty, and BBC?

Gregg took consistent flak for this but the defense didn't typically cost us. In fact, they ranked in the top half of football despite the talent deficiency in the secondary.

There's just no explanation that works for the way Williams used our personnel last year. If we don't have the corners to cover on an island, then why the hell did we lead the league in blitzes? Then you combine that with the 10 yard cushion corners lined up with on every play, and you wonder why we could never get home on said blitzes. Whenever a free man is coming, just throw it at the hot read and he's probably wide open. Our linebackers are legitimately good in coverage too.

1 (1) Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma, 94.8
1 (4) Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State, 91.4
2 (33) Austin Corbett, G/C, Nevada, 84.0
2 (35) Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia, 87.6
3 (67) Chad Thomas, Edge, Miami (Fla.), 83.9
4 (105) Antonio Callaway, WR, Florida, 77.7* (in 2016)
5 (150) Genard Avery, LB, Memphis, 82.4
6 (175) Damion Ratley, WR, Texas A&M, 77.1
6 (188) Simeon Thomas, CB, Louisiana, 79.0

Day 1: Mayfield was PFF’s pick to be the No. 1 overall pick for the Browns since last October and they made it a reality despite many rumors to the contrary. Mayfield has the two highest single-season grades we’ve given a quarterback in our four years of grading and he can make every necessary throw with zip and accuracy. No matter which way the numbers are sliced, Mayfield generally led the way, including the best PFF grade from a clean pocket (the most consistent measure of year-to-year success) and also the best grade when facing pressure. He also came out on top in our new advanced accuracy numbers that emphasized actual ball location on every throw, and his was nine percent better than the next-best quarterback on tight-window throws. After much speculation, the Browns selected the No. 1 player on the PFF draft board with the first pick of the draft.

As for Denzel Ward, he fills a massive need in the secondary and his straight-line speed and lateral agility make him a perfect candidate to match up with the best route runners in the NFL. Ward allowed a completion percentage of only 35.0 percent in his career when targeted, picking off two passes and breaking up 19 more on only 100 targets. He may struggle at the catch point at times against bigger receivers, but he knows how to play through the receiver’s hands to break up passes and he’s had his fair share of success when matched up against bigger bodies in college.

Day 2: The Browns added a versatile offensive lineman in Austin Corbett who played left tackle at Nevada, though he could play guard or center where he showed well at the Senior Bowl. He has three years of grading in the mid-80.0s and his 98.0 pass-blocking efficiency ranked 13thin the draft class among tackles last season. Nick Chubb is one of the best runners in the class, and he looked back to form last year after two years of battling injuries and recovering. He maximizes what his run-blocking gives him and he averaged 3.7 yards after contact per rush during his four-year career at Georgia. Chad Thomas continued to improve throughout his career at Miami, and he did his best work in the run game where he graded at 84.5 last season while his pass-rush productivity of 9.9 ranked 39thin the draft class.

Day 3: On the field, Antonio Callaway is a big-play threat as his impressive game speed makes him a weapon on the deep ball, taking short passes for big gains, and as a punt returner. He averaged 7.3 yards after the catch per reception in his career, but fell in the draft due to off-field concerns, including being suspended for the entire 2017 season. Genard Avery did plenty of damage on the edge at Memphis, notching nine sacks, 14 QB hits and 34 hurries last season, and he brings versatility to the Cleveland defense.

Overall grade: Good

Quick recap of Dorsey on Good Morning Football...

Q: When did you decide on Mayfield and why do you believe he's the guy?
A: I knew when I left our private workout in Norman, Oklahoma (on March 22nd). When you make a decision this large, you want to have a unanimous consensus in the building. I wanted to hear unbiased opinions on all the QBs without anyone knowing what I felt which is why I kept my feelings a secret for so long. In regards to Mayfield's ability - great accuracy, quick release, feet to extend plays, strong enough arm. Statistically you look and he was 1st or 2nd in just about every major category. When you watch his teammates galvanize around him during the game, you know the guy has a little bit of the "it" factor.

Q: Was there a reason to be so secretive picking No. 1?
A: The important thing was not showing all our cards right away. We wanted to keep it as close to the vest as possible. I told ownership and the head coach about a week before, but the rest of the organization found out about an hour before.

Q: Was there a particular moment that really solidified Mayfield for you?
A: It was a combination of things. When we met face to face, we learned who he was as a player, but also who he was as a man. The more we were around Baker, the more we could feel his presence, his deep intellect. He had a broad range of thinking on different subjects. When we put him on the board with the Xs and Os with the coaching staff, he knocked it out of the park there.

Q: Hue says Tyrod is the starter, why is the team announcing a starter in April?
A: Football is a marathon, not a sprint. There's a lot to learn in professional football. Why not give Baker the best avenue and platform to succeed? He can learn how to be a professional QB around the two veteran QBs in that room, really learn the nuances of the game. When he does step onto the field and it's time to play, the game will have slowed down for him. But you know what? In training camp, we expect him to compete, but for the long-term haul of his success, have a degree of patience and then go get it.

Q: Did you pick Ward over Chubb because of need?
A: Both men are fantastic players. To me, you can't have enough good cornerbacks to succeed. Especially one the caliber of Ward. Great vertical speed. Sudden start/stop ability. Really good hands. His ceiling of growth, to me, is exponential. It was an easy decision.

Q: There's scar tissue in Cleveland over Johnny Manziel, why is Mayfield different?
A: They're two different people. Period.

Q: What did you do the day after the draft?
A: I went to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I just wanted a moment to reflect on our first draft. Canton is only 45 minutes away. It was awesome.

Q: The sweatshirt with the collared shirt underneath, it's a consistent look. How many Browns sweatshirts do you own?
A: Seven. One for each day of the week. A pair of khakis, a button down and pull a sweartshirt over. From all those years going to catholic school wearing a uniform.

He’s got the IT factor!!

Eh...I do think leadership is an important quality in a QB. Some guys just inherently have that magnetic personality that makes you want to follow them.

But of course, all the leadership in the world won't matter if you're not good at football. But I also don't think that's a major issue with Mayfield. He's not a perfect prospect, but he is a very good one.

Yeah, I guess. Just seems like his "moxie" is his most talked about aspect, as I've said before.
