This is me speculating, but I don't think it was planned. I really think this guy has anxiety and other issues, drugs and alcohol have always been the way to deal with it. This time around he was having issues again, recognized he was about to relapse, so he raised his hand.

I hope society can get to the point where an annual mental health checkup is just as normal and routine as a annual physical or doctors visit. Like KLove said, sometimes just talking to someone, getting things off your chest, can be very helpful. I hope that is what Flash needs, and the Browns get him into a weekly session if they haven't already. I'm really hoping he can get on the field for week 1.

I can vouch from a first-person perspective.
 
Berea is being very quiet about all of this. From what I was told and can put together, only very few people know what’s going on with all of this. Everyone else has been left in the dark. Sounds like Hard Knocks talk is just pure speculation, him not wanting to be on camera having to talk/deal about his issues to the nation on HBO. Let’s hope that’s what it is.
 
How many of you still go to training camp? Is it still free? Worth going to anymore?

I'm planning to go to camp on the 4th. A little bummed they aren't doing the orange and brown scrimmage this year. I usually try to hit that up as well.
