If intangibles didn't exist, Rosen would be my overwhelming top choice on the board.

He has the best combination of size, arm strength, accuracy and mechanics.

It's just difficult to play QB in the NFL if you're a selfish/me first kind of guy. Plus, he's already had shoulder surgery on his throwing arm and has missed other time with various injuries.

His character concerns would need to be vetted to the extreme before I'd be comfortable taking him.

Sell me on what Rosen does better than what Kizer did in college. Completion % and TD/Int are almost identical. I have watched very little of Rosen I’m just curious.

Sell me on what Rosen does better than what Kizer did in college. Completion % and TD/Int are almost identical. I have watched very little of Rosen I’m just curious.

Rosen looks like Eli Manning in a lot of ways and I think he will end up about that as a pro. Really the only thing I question is certain things in his attitude (Aka comes off as a stable selfish prick, not like Manziel who is an unstable person) and his injuries (shoulder surgeries)

1. Cleveland Browns

Bradley Chubb, DE, NC State.

What? Another defensive end? Sure, why not? Myles Garrett has lived up to the billing in his rookie year. Beyond him though, the Browns have essentially no semblance of a pass rush. Chubb can play the strongside defensive end spot opposite Garrett and opposing offensive tackles will have their hands full against the Browns for a long time.

8. Cleveland Browns from Texans

Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State.

Here's an exception to the rule for this mock draft. There are only so many adequate free-agent quarterbacks out there, and the Browns definitely have plenty of needs, quarterback being one of them. Rudolph is the opposite of DeShone Kizer. He's experienced, comfortable in the pocket, and accurate.

An apparent failed attempt to trade for A.J. McCarron proves the Browns aren’t sold on rookie second-rounder DeShone Kizer. If they go QB at the top of next year’s draft, Rosen makes the most sense right now.

When you’re as bad as the Browns have been, you have to just keep adding as much pure talent as possible, and they have a plethora of picks with which they can take as many shots as possible. James is a ridiculous athlete and a much more polished defender than Jabrill Peppers.

I don’t think any Cleveland Fan can agree with that first mock draft since DE is not a need and Chubb isn’t the best player in the draft. Now after the combine who knows, but on most big boards via sites Barkley and Minkah are ahead of Chubb and I Don’t think Rudolph will go that high, but the combine will tell us where he will go, and I am think 3rd roundish.

Draft Wire makes a lot more sense, but looking at the draft prospects the other day, There is so many WRs likely to go in the second round and we need a Sutton to compliment a Coleman, not use more 3 round or later picks on WRs. I think the second round we need to invest that straight on WR and RB since that’s were most of the top 5 in each position will be available

Therein lies the danger of looking solely at completion percentage when trying to evaluate a quarterback's accuracy.

Screen heavy offenses can gas up completion percentages whereas offenses that feature a lot more downfield passing will naturally lower completion percentage. Drops, spikes, batted passes, QB hits because of poor OL all play a role.

I don't think it's out of line to say that Rosen processes what's in front of him much faster AND is significantly more accurate than Kizer.

Let's put it this way...

I happy that Kizer didn't shit himself today, but 7 more games of what he showed today (73.3 QB rating) and I'm still drafting a QB in the top 5.
