Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is just insane...seems to me he would be the best at adjusting to the blitz and schemes of the nfl

This is just insane... With the least amount of time to throw.

thank you Eazybreezy. A couple of numbers here that just jump off the charts are passer rating vs the pressure, passer rating vs the blitz, and the average time to throw.

He is getting the least amount of time to throw of any of the top 14 draft eligible QBs, and is the most successful at it. When I see posters comment about "well he will have to face more blitzs in the NFL, or "he scrambles too much and leaves plays open" its posters either not having a full idea of the body of Mayfields work or just simple confirmation bias.

Didn't PFF say Cody Kessler was good?

I believe they did...based on analytics . Don't think they could've factored in arm strength for the next level... still believe that's the only thing that is stopping him. Sad. after Cody's rookie year didn't he have the best qbr's out of any rookie since 2006? Didnt we only bench him because he couldn't push the ball down the field? Don't think that's the issue with Baker. (Well, and getting hurt)

Mayfield is a good QB, and Rosen seems solid as well. I am not sold on all the stuff Darnold does at the end of the day (he’s more of either going to be Favre or a waste of a pick in a sense).

If we don’t sign a QB in free agency, this is the class we draft two QBs like the kid from Northwestern or Texas Tech type of guy.

I think when the dust settles after the combine testing, interviews, etc. Darnold ends up back at the top, "down year" or not.

Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part, but he doesn't seem to have any of the character/motivation concerns that Rosen has, and he doesn't have the size/gimmicky offense/douchebag issues that Mayfield does.

Above all else though, he impresses the hell out of me with his ability to move around in the pocket and extend the play... and not in a stupid, get yourself killed kind of way. More Brady/Ben mobility than a true "scrambling" QB.

A lot of the qualities Dorsey called out in his press conference as important for a QB fit Darnold... has the accuracy, has the feet in the pocket, and actually wins.

Lastly, for as much chatter as there is about him going back to school, if say, he gets a promise that he's going #1?...there's no way he's dumb enough to go back. That, and I don't buy the shit about him not wanting to come to Cleveland... I've seen that movie before (cough, Garrett).

Anyway, just my opinion. Really pumped for the OSU game for both OSU fandom and Darnold-watch.

quite frankly i think there is a reason most people on this board have him number 3. He looks the part but his season he is just been disappointing. After an amazing freshman year he has clearly taken a step back. Now maybe its no big deal and after this year he gets back to what he was his freshman year But to see a clear step back definitely gives warning signs.

I just don’t see it with Jackson as QB1... I’m torn between baker or Rosen

Can't we just get Baker some 1-3" heeled cleats and call it a day ? :dunno:

I hear the narrative, but I'm not seeing that reason exactly...

In this "clear step back" of a year that Darnold is having, he's still managed to throw for more yards than Rosen and the same amount of TDs with fewer pass attempts, a higher completion percentage, higher QB rating, and fewer sacks taken... and led his team to a conference championship in the same conference as Rosen.

As far as I can tell, the only things Rosen has going for him when you compare the two is this narrative that he's God's gift to quarterbacking and that Darnold's having "a down year," and the fact that he put up good stats in a game he lost to Darnold's team.

Jackson is a polarizing prospect.

I could see us taking him but not at #1 overall. If we draft Jackson he's probably the second QB we draft.

He's not going to go until at BEST late first.
