2018 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Browns, Giants, 49ers, Ravens, Dolphins and Jags could all be in the mix for a QB this next off season.

49ers not in QB market? I think they would love to grab a QB for Kyle's offense (btw the Falcons have been... not great without Kyle. He runs a good system. But he needs someone to run it)

I'll be honest, at this point the Ravens would be wise to look at QBs and just being sentimental if not. Flacco is...... not good

I think most are assuming that San Francisco will be the favorites to ink Cousins this off-season.

I really hope beyond all hope...... that we are able to get Alex Smith this off-season. Perfect bridge QB for whoever we have for the long term.

Correct that BAL and NYG will be in the mix for a QB but not with their first pick they won't. That's simply too much draft capital to invest in a position that they won't see a return on for two years. Those are two franchises who are perennial playoff teams. They will either take BPA or trade out or at at least they should.

JAX will be drafting too low to get one of the top 3 guys. If they want one they will assuredly have to trade up to get him. Same for MIA.

As for SF it's not only Kirk Cousins who will be on their radar but also Jimmy G. Can't forget about him.

Alex Smith will be in DEN next season. Makes too much sense for both sides.

There's so much to play out yet. If we want to follow the logic of Lamar Jackson being over and decided as the best QB, why couldn't he throw against Clemson until they were in a prevent? If all the top QBs in free agency don't want to join the Browns, why would top free agent receivers choose the Browns and their legion of raw inaccurate QBs instead of where say Cousins and Smith want to go? It's just too early to make these calls, or else wouldn't Romo be under center for the Broncos right now?

Don't kill my dreams los

I agree. Just my predictions.

Yeah I think he'll want to be on a contender. I think DEN is the favorite with MIA, SF, and AZ lurking.

I know that our FO is about analytics......
.

But I had a dream last night that we signed Smith to a 2-3 year deal at 35 mil/yr and reunited Landry and OBJ for 14mil/yr each. Barkeley#1 overall....... my dream didn't finish, I always did get woke up at the best part of my wet dreams lol

$35M per year for Alex Smith :bigshock:

That was a nightmare.

You kidding me? THIS is the nightmare. We are living it.

I'd so much rather have the over pay of the century for a QB than pay 16 million to eat Brock's contract in exchange for a 2nd rounder, 9 million for Britt, etc

Seriously we have a mountain of cap space we never spend. I'm starving for a QB

Spend the damn money to bring one here. Smith has made a giant leap this season

Every time I see someone say Lamar Jackson is the best QB, I wonder if they realize how terrible he is at throwing the football.

The best thing going for Jackson is the missteps of the supposedly more polished passers who were ahead of him going into the season. He is still a Mike Vick type of player who needs to run rather than a Cam Newton type who can run if he needs to.

If Thomas retires would they be looking at drafting a left tackle early?
