2018 NBA Draft - June 21

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Watched his box score stats.. god damn. If he declares the Cavs should just take him. Fucking Andre Igoudala.

Eh.... he's not a ball-handler like AI was. Got a nose for the ball though. He's always around the action.

Don't have anyone else in mind. Who do you have as a comparison?

Honestly haven't seen him enough. If he can handle the ball, they don't use him that way. The way he gets off the floor reminds me of John Collins, but Collins is a big and Smith is absolutely a wing given his size. I'll have to watch some highlights and figure it out.

He's such a weird player that a comp is almost impossible. But he is similar to a bigger, smarter Eric Bledsoe to me. So unique though. I heard someone use Andre Roberson + Victor Oladipo (I assume NCAA Oladipo). They use him as a 4 man mostly.

If we get a Texas Tech - Villanova matchup I'd nut

Is it at the point where even if we end up 6-8 we’re going to be feeling good about who we can get?

Say we’re sixth, that probably automatically takes out of the Hunt for Ayton, Doncic, and MPJ.

But after that, is there a clear cut hierarchy? Like are Bagley, Bamba, and JJjr 100% locks to go before guys like Young, Carter, or (either) Bridges.

Obviously a lot of this is filtered through the lense if does LeBron stay or not, but you have to imagine the Cavs are going to at least give strong strong consideration to how the guys available to them fit next to LeBron.

Just trying to size up again how those of you who consider yourself scouting and draft junkies see this draft in the 4-10 range. Are we in the over hyping part of the process where we imagine all these guys are legit NBA stars/major contributors or is this really one of the best drafts down through the top 8-12 in a long time?

IMO, Doncic and Ayton are the only locks for top-5 picks. Very wide open after that, including MPJ.

Dunno how they end up turning out as players, but in terms of levels of prospects, the top 10 or so guys of this draft are absolutely stellar prospects and are all guys who would be top 3-5 prospects in most average drafts. I strongly believe in the strength of this draft. The pick will be very valuable on draft night because of this.

Even a "low ceiling" guy like Mikal Bridges who is going to go like 7th-10th is a really stellar prospect who is unique in that I think he could help a contending team RIGHT NOW as a starting 3&D wing who hopefully can develop his dribble drive and iso game a-la PG13 and Jimmy Butler. And he's starting out with a much better stroke than those guys who were mainly just athletes with work ethics. But he's going to be a good shooter and a good defender from day 1, IMO and he's got a great physical profile.

But seriously...just stacked... Jarius Lyles :chuckle:...Doncic, Ayton, Bagley, Porter, Jackson, Bamba, Sexton, Young, Mikal Bridges, Miles Bridges..

Even late lotto guys like Knox, Walker(I dont like Walker though), Musa, Diop, Alexander are pretty damn high ceiling guys for the 11-15 range, IMO. Like would anyone really be SHOCKED if Alexander ended up being the best PG in the draft? Surprised, sure..but hes got a physical profile that suggests a high ceiling.

I really hope the "low-ceiling" attitude you're referencing towards Mikal sustains itself through the rest of the tournament - because they're going to continue to dominate.

It's that and the idea that he can't do anything off the dribble that was ingrained in everyone's minds at the start of the season that really are no longer true. I think it's really hurt his stock, even for those that watch a good amount of college basketball they can't shake those ideas out of their head.

The guy is a legit top 5 guy to me, and in a league starved for wing talent I have no idea how some people are so slow to coming around on him not only being a top 10 guy, but even better than that.

Like I said, I hope they keep sleeping and that the Cavs see his improvement over the course of the season. Dying for him to play for the Cavs.

Just cashed on Michigan's moneyline +1000.:chuckle: It went from +240 to +1000 on Bovada as soon as they missed the lay-up and fouled Davis who had only missed 1 FT the entire night. He missed both and they go full court in 3 seconds to hit a 3 for the win. Ahahahahahahahahahaahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa fuck I feel dirty because Michigan but I've made so much money betting live moneyline longshots the last month I can take my wife to Cancun. Cheers, mf'ers!

Hey man Im all for it. Can't teach a 6'7 plus athlete with a 7'2 wingspan and a money 3 ball. High level 3+D guys get paid like 15-20 mil a year in the league for a reason. Like if his "floor" is Robert Covington then that's a guy I want on my team.

You have a gambling problem. I'll pray for you right after I pray for the Nets pick tomorrow.

7'0.5 wingspan. Don't add inches like you add to your dick.
