2019 Browns Head Coach Candidates

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Triv says Peyton is coming....

Take with a grain of salt though, Triv hasn't had the best of sources for 15 years.
Triv is a shit stirrer. I don’t believe Peyton would want to come here when there are plenty of other better situations he can wait for.

Then again, I can never totally discount D-List radio personalities ever again when Chad Zumock had the inside scoop on the Kyrie to Boston trade.

Actually John Harbaugh would be more accurate.
I thought about him for a second but I couldn't believe that he would actually want to leave Baltimore. I'd love him here but if he leaves I'm guessing he'll look for a bigger job that opens up eventually.

Peyton would get a piece of ownership with the job

Whoever the coach is he isn't coming here to be the HC because we currently don't have any plans to change our HC. It's not Bruce Arians or Sean Payton either because those situations have been well documented. If I had to guess it would be Mike McCarthy. Green Bay is destined to make changes this offseason. Imagine the suitors for the Packers job should it become open.

That's one job that Gruden would seriously consider if it became available.

Here’s the thing. If, if Peyton were to come here, it would most certainly be like what you described. He’d get a small (but not insignificant) piece of ownership and his title would be something like Team President/Chairman.

AKA he’d largely just be a figurehead, not involved with any of the day-to-day. I’d bet the time spent in Cleveland would only be a couple times a year. He’s not going to do anything that will take away from all his other business ventures, and it’s not something that would turn the franchise around in any real way...he’d just be our new PR guy.

What good does that do the Browns besides just having a name?

Chad's a good dude.

I don't think he'd pull that sort of shit.

lol

Peyton will be doing more than that.

I highly doubt a PR guy who would only show up to Cleveland few times a year would get a slice of ownership.

Come on now lol

His role would be essentially near what Elway does most likely in my opinion if he indeed does come here.

Would Sean Payton want to work with Gregg Williams again?

The Cavs would hire Mike Brown to coach LeBron again before that happens.

Feel free to offer up any other suggestions I may have missed. I didn't list Gruden, Cowher or Saban because I don't feel any of them are leaving their current roles.

Pat Fitzgerald-- dude turns chicken shit into chicken salad every year

Harbaugh threw some shade at this franchise back in the day, saying that a win against the expansion Browns was a "win in honor of Art modell"

I don't think he'd want anything to do with this franchise or the city of Cleveland. I'd venture the same could be said about Jim.
