2019 Browns Off Season/Roster Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Shelton Richardson
Draft
Suh
Clark
Ansah

I know DT is a bigger need than Edge, but Frank Clark is more talented than all of those, IMO. I don't think you target one of the others over him (assuming you can't get both).

Watt and Clowney
Miller and Chubb
Garrett and Clark

If we can get Clark, we get him, and address DT through trades or early in the draft or both.

Our defense has started the first step of becoming elite: establishing an identity. Now, headed into 2019 I think we're a couple of big players away from becoming elite and Frank Clark is just the kind of impact playmaker to catapult us in that direction.

Since we need something to talk about, let's set it up as such:

Rank these in order of preference:

Sign Clark away from Seattle, sign Ezekiel Ansah away from Detroit, sign Suh away from the Rams, sign Shelton Richardson away from Minnesota, focus on the draft primarily to build up the starting defensive line talent, or none of the above.
1) Sign Grady Jarrett if he miraculously hits the open market (he won't)
2) Draft a stud DT (Oliver, Wilkins, Simmons, Dre'Mont Jones)
3) Sign Frank Clark if not franchised
4) Sign Dee Ford if not franchised
5) Sign Gerald McCoy if he's released
6) Sign Trey Flowers if the price is right
7) Sign Ziggy Ansah (contract must take into account that he's aging, money mostly up front, only guaranteed for 2 years)

No interest in Suh or Richardson.

One thing about Clark the actual player is that he can play the three tech as well as defensive end. That kind of positional flexibility, along with Seattle's hesitancy to use the franchise tag in the past and his checkered past, is an important reason he is highly regarded as a free agent. A team can sign Clark and then have flexibility in the draft afterwards. I felt like that was overlooked yesterday.

Okay, carry on with the scenarios.

Welp. Good thing this one isn’t for an amazon gift card.

If Lewis wasn't involved, his suit probably wouldn't have mysteriously gone missing. I can't speak for the rest of you, but I've never lost an entire outfit, and that white suit probably cost more than any I've ever owned.

He was at the fight, there was probably a blood splatter. But remember, no one was convicted of murder, not even the ones that killed him. Despite Lewis testifying against them, the jury believed their self defense in almost record time of under 3 hours.

This whole murder thing is bullshit, Lewis is not a murderer, at best you might say he is a killer, but they are not the same.

OBR

They also said the Kareem hunt suspension will be announced within a week

Someone should make a poll, I am guessing 10 games.

The 6 month history will kill Hunt. The fact he wasn't charged helps, but 3 events in 6 months, yeeesh, glad he is getting help supposedly.

Andrew Berry is on his way out

I haven't seen anything on this. It wouldn't be a surprise since there are so many layers of Green Bay buddy boys above him. I do think it would be in his best interest to wait one year. Once the Browns have been built into a playoff team, his resume would look good for an open GM position.

I have to wonder how long Hunt has had issues? He attended Willoughby South High School, and by his senior year he was 5'10" 210 pounds. His stats were off the board but no offers from any power five conference schools. He went to Toledo because it was one of the few offers he had. He may have been a known problem for a while now?

1. None of us were there that night, so neither side can say for 100% certainty that ray Lewis isn’t a murderer.
2. Why trash the suit that is worth more then your car if he just sat in the limo and his boys did everything? The story doesn’t add up.
3. Why did he pay the victims families?
4. They weren’t convicted of murder because they lacked evidence for the charges, not because they didn’t do it.
5. He’s lucky he was born 10 years earlier to avoid the cell phone era and digital age.

1. true, so why use such inflamitory language when the evidence shows he didn't kill the people
2. because he was trying to distance himself, the cost of the suit is nothing compared to reputation. Look he wasn't involved not for moral reasons, but he wanted to protect his image and NFL contract, that was his reasoning.
3. He was there, he could be sued for admitting to be there and provided the vehicle as it was and he was the only one with pockets. He settled to protect his image and a bigger loss, smart business.
4. True, but lack of evidence doesn't mean they did do it. It was a 3 hour deliberation, means there was no evidence it wasn't self defense, good chance that means it was self defense, that and the entire police report and everything has Lewis NOT involved in the fight
5. Or unlucky there is no cell phone coverage because people like you keep calling him a murderer with no evidence as you just admitted there isn't.
