2019 Browns Off Season/Roster Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
There’s nothing worse than the “he didn’t get convicted” justification.

OJ didn't do it either, right?

The same people who will call Ray Lewis a murderer.

Lots of people have that sliding scale of judgement so long as they feel a benefit.

Parker is a bum. Always been a bum, doesn’t know how to be anything else.

I would like it if the Browns didn't fool around with trying to find a guy they can mould and go out and get a legitimate WR1.

20 years from now I would hate to be having a debate about why the Browns never quite made it thanks to a lack of a surefire WR1 or any other position.

Like how the Indians were only a No. 1 pitcher away from a dynasty (I still can't believe they turned down a Pedro Martinez/Brian Giles trade) or if only Ray Allen had signed with the Cavs during LeBron's prime.

Equating Domestic Violence accusations to murder is...something.

A reasonable person would conclude that OJ was guilty. A reasonable person would conclude Ray Lewis was, at the least, an accomplice to murder.

Frank Clark has done bad things, for sure.

But not every person that is accused of Domestic Violence is guilty, despite what Twitter wants you to think.

Did you seriously just disagree with me for saying “And?”

Are you suggesting that I am compromising my ethics because I am benefiting from something here? Or is this just a general observation about societal hypocrisy?

If we're gonna keep signing scumbags, we better at least win the Super Bowl.

What he is suggesting is that he’s a better person than everyone else that walks this sorry planet.

Nothing wrong with a make defending himself against a female. He shouldn't have just left.

But Ray Lewis didn't murder anyone, he just didn't turn over the guys name like he should of. He was guilty of obstruction of justice. The two friends of his were not convicted of murder either, they were found not guilty because they were defending themselves.

And to be clear, Lewis didn't kill anyone, he wasn't in the fight, the two friends did kill someone, but the jury after 3 hours found them not guilty because they didn't start the fight and they were just defending themselves.

Yes I call Ben a rapist, but that is because he was accused of the exact same crime 3 times, and he didn't go to trail because the woman were to drunk and he made sure they were alone, Ray Lewis didn't even kill the guy or get in the fight, and not even the prosecution denies that.

Just hate in this country once you are charged with the crime we assume they are guilty and no one really gives a fuck about the truth or evidence.

If Lewis wasn't involved, his suit probably wouldn't have mysteriously gone missing. I can't speak for the rest of you, but I've never lost an entire outfit, and that white suit probably cost more than any I've ever owned.

I can't believe people are getting pissy about a player that we may or may not sign, or even have interest in, just because a journalist wrote a mock off-season article predicting we would.

Since we need something to talk about, let's set it up as such:

Rank these in order of preference:

Sign Clark away from Seattle, sign Ezekiel Ansah away from Detroit, sign Suh away from the Rams, sign Shelton Richardson away from Minnesota, focus on the draft primarily to build up the starting defensive line talent, or none of the above.
