2019 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
They just used a first on a RB last year and as far as I know James White still exists. Not a need for them.
He had 7 receptions. I meant to use him as a h-back pass catching threat since they lost Gronk in the passing game.

The stable of running backs quietly became a strength of the Pats last year while receivers (beside Edelman) and tight ends fell off.

James White had 150 targets and had a great year with over 1300 all-purpose yards. Pats don't need Duke. He basically does the exact same thing as White.

Stronger and faster than Terrance Mitchell with better fluidity, if they are looking at his as a cover three type size corner. Unlike Mitchell he needs work on what is an is not allowed in playing physically in the jam and down the field. His biggest issues are coachable issues.

Just looked, his tackling numbers for a corner are extremely solid. Decent enough straight line speed at 4.56, has the speed to be absolutely fine as far as a corner. Dorsey loves himself some size at corner and also likes guys who play physical.

Good prospect for day 2.

Only White does them much better and has done it in the biggest of games.

Duke is a better receiver than James White. He's also better with the ball in his hands. I've said it for years--if Duke was on the Pats, he'd be a household name.

The only advantage James White would have over him is the timing and trust with Brady.

I really think the only RB in the league who's a better receiver than Duke Johnson is David Johnson.

Kamara and McCaffrey are, at the very least, in the discussion. They start many snaps in the slot and in McCaffrey's case his QB limited him all year. I think Duke limited himself with his need for plays off. In Kamara's case, the Saints have a lot of mouths to feed on offense.

Woo.

Hot takes going round in here.

McCaffrey and Saquon are probably the two that belong in the discussion. I actually think Kamara, as a pass catcher, is just fine. He still has special acceleration and is a weapon anywhere on the field, but if we want to pick apart just ability as a receiver, I see him a step behind those other guys.

If you want to add a name to my top two, I think Le'Veon Bell is third actually. But with the year off, I'm fine with him and McCaffrey ranked around equal.
