2019 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
First or second.

Brown is going to rip a serious 40.

There’s a good mix of Desean Jackson and Antonio Brown traits.

But undersized, a bit raw on the route precision. But his quickness and vertical ability is elite elite.

He is very undersized, and when he is introduced to NFL tackling he is going to adjust. If the Browns go that direction, Metcalf has higher ceiling. I always saw Brown as a second rounder, but an intriguing one because of his instant chemistry with Baker, and the Browns in three years have gone from a receiving group with a bunch of speedy midgets to a group that lacks a vertical threat.

Not sure what year he is but this Rogers, Jr kid from TAMU is an absolute monster at WR

I watched the game, he really hasn't put up great numbers this year, is only a sophomore, but he is 6'5 and did a great job in the OT's high pointing for a couple of td's, but as low as his numbers are he has to have allot of holes in his game. He had 21 rece, 292 yards 4 td's on the entire season after yesterdays game

Yeah. I was drunk and just flipped that game on during OT and saw him Moss'ing everybody

When I checked the stats I couldn't believe it

I mean he completely dominated those OTs against LSU CBs

I know I couldn't believe it either, I know nothing about him though except not used much and he was a 3 star prospect. Probably not a NFL player unless something dramatic happens

Just caught up on those highlights by Rogers.

Very impressive player, big athlete.

Draft eligible sophomore.

POST WEEK 12

B/R

12. Cleveland Browns: Jeffery Simmons, DT, Mississippi State

(Players picked after: Rashan Gary, Dre'Mont Jones, all WRs, Deandre Baker)

SI

12. Cleveland: Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson

A year ago, Vita Vea went 12th overall as primarily an early-down player. Lawrence has a similar blend of mass (350 pounds) and rare athleticism, but has flashed more upside in the pass-rush. If nothing else, Lawrence would fill the run-stuffer void left when the Browns traded Danny Shelton last offseason.

(Players picked after: Deandre Baker, Greg Little, Josh Allen, Dre'Mont Jones)

CBS

12. Cleveland Browns

Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama. With future Hall of Famer Joe Thomas now in retirement, Williams would anchor the Browns' offensive line. Rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield is playing like a grizzled vet and keeping him upright will be key to Cleveland's return to relevancy in 2019.

(Players picked after: Josh Allen, Cajuste, Oruwariye, Dre'Mont Jones, Dexter Lawrence, Devin White, every WR)

Ugh, run stuffing DTs are so unimportant. I really hope we do not use a first round pick on one. That's a 3rd or 4th round pick. You just need a guy who is big and strong.

That said, I watched Clemson, and is that really all Lawrence projects to be at the pro level? He seems pretty solid to me.

I still am on the Jonah Williams bandwagon. I also love Jeffrey Simmons, Deandre Baker, Greg Little, and Josh Allen.

If Lawrence is actually dedicated to the conditioning aspect, he's definitely got the natural skillset.

I don't even know where he's at weight wise? 340+ would be my guess.

If he goes to the combine looking like Terrence Cody then he could sink.

Like in the draft or sink like in the ocean because he is fat?

I would have a tough time picking between Jonah Williams or DeAndre Baker if they were still on the board. I'd probably lean toward DeAndre just to see the Browns pass defense become elite. The Browns are starting to figure out how to give Baker enough protection with Greg Robinson, so maybe they can go after a project later in the draft to compete with Hubbard.

Lawrence might be more than a nose tackle, bit we won't know until the combine. Shelton was awful at the combine for agility and speed but the Browns saw his production and pulled the trigger. Sometimes the measurables matter in the first round.

It seems Greg Robinson has been doing a decent job since taking over as the LT. Or at least I haven't heard his name called often, which is usually a good thing for an offensive lineman. If he shows he is a capable starter the rest of the season, how does that change our draft approach? Could he be moved to RT to replace Hubbard if we take a first round LT talent?

It's possible but it's also worth mentioning that a LT isnt a huge issue with Baker. It's more important to have that G-C-G locked down. Short QBs dont deal well with pressure in their face.
