2019 Potential Free Agency Targets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Wouldn’t mind Marcus Peters. He might be gettable after a down year. He’s come on as of late tho. Just have to use him zone.

So...

Who should the Browns go after?

I'm interested to see how the Browns act on the defensive line.

Chris Smith has been a solid addition. I think he's a perfect example of what we can come to expect on the line as long as Dorsey is in control. Shelton going and Ogunjobi staying seems to be a beacon of things to come for the line. Ogbah is going to need to thrive inside to have a place on the Browns, IMO.

The list is pretty shitty for our actual needs. Not sure how it’d work with him getting franchised this year, but Demarcus Lawrence would be pretty amazing opposite Garrett. Pretty unlikely though.

Maybe Ezekiel Ansah at the right price though he’s been pretty inconsistent.

I’m sure we’ll pick up some depth, but I don’t see much in the way of impact guys for this team.

Defensive assistant: we should probably be sure to keep everything in front of us since there isn’t much time left and they have no timeouts

Gregggg: fuck you dipshit send 8

If we can get tyrod for cheap I’d love to have him back. Quality backup qbs are so rare. We’re going to contend next year we need someone who can come in during an emergency situation if baker is out for a few plays or even games. Can’t rely on the likes of drew stanton.

Personally, I'd have more faith in Drew than Tyrod. Drew has shown the ability to step in as a backup and hold it down. Granted it was under Hue, but what I saw from Tyrod does not put me in a position of faith.

Interestingly enough Baker called out Drew in the Denver post-game. Only time he mentions Tyrod is professional courtesy.

Change of pace qbs like tyrod are the ones who give unsuspecting defenses issues. When they aren’t prepared to face a running qb it’s a very dangerous thing. We see it all the time with these scrub runners who come in and run all over teams. And tyrod is a better thrower than most of them. He had a bad year but hue and Haley didn’t do tyrod any favors. Drew is great at being a mentor but that’s not what we need on the field of baker does down.

Well, based on Baker doing so much better after those two were shit-canned, that's a pretty safe assumption.

Maybe not a top tier FA, but I think Quincy Enunwa would look damn good here.

I think Ansah, Grady Jarrett, Malcom Brown and Trent Brown would all fit here pretty good too.

Not a ton. Might have to get aggressive with trades again.

Yeah. Time to start seeking out some disgruntled players looking for extensions (ala Landry)

I think I am higher on acquiring ODB than most people. I am wondering if this is true.

Say the Giants decide they want/need to trade him. They call Dorsey and say "We have a deal from the Colts we like, but if you can beat it, he's yours". What is the absolute most you'd give for ODB? Keep in mind, about 25% of his contract would stay with the Giants.

I'd give our own 1st and 3rd this year. Probably would give a little more than that.

Also, what's the market for backup QBs like?

We have 16mil in Taylor coming off the books. I'd be fine bringing him back, but I'd guess he'd be more for signing a 1 year deal at a place where he might win the job, then parlay that into his last big contract in 2020.

Are we ok with Stanton being the main backup? Maybe draft a guy a developmental guy late? Or do we need to sign someone else who's played in the league before to feel comfortable?
