Not sure how I feel about this roster (or really any of my rosters this year). I was pretty adamantly NOT going to pick CMC this year, but he ended up falling all the way to 6th and at that point I figured I kinda needed to. High risk, high reward.
You have three players with ADP in the top 14 picks. I think you'll be fine.

Really means nothing. Fantasy is about making educated guesses and then luck takes over. Leagues will be won by whoever the lucky douche is that gets the fire waiver pickup this season.

Luck certainly plays a part, but just knowing what you're doing and drafting well is the biggest thing. I haven't missed the playoffs in a league with money on the line since 2016.

I credit that mostly to starting dynasty that season. As such, I became a lot more familiar with the entire skill position groups of most teams in the league, and that knowledge carried over into redraft, as it's easy to hit on some sleepers every year when you know every situation in the league and who has the chance to break out or who is one injury away from smashing.

Yeah, I know, there’s definitely a knowledge base involved. I just feel like there’s a lot more luck than just a little bit, too.

I’m in the playoffs about 90% of the time as well, though I usually only do two leagues each year. I’ve only actually won once despite that. I forget which year it was, but I legit lost a $600 league due to stat error with Denard Robinson. Was Yahoo. They even published a note about it but there was no way to go back and change the outcome or anything. Pissed me the fuck off.

Changes this year, Jeudy leading me to glory!!

.5 PPR, 12-team league that starts 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, and a FLEX

Feel pretty great about that draft, and it’s a testament why you always lock in two elite QBs early in 2QB. Other positions will fall as everyone panics and reaches for QBs in the third, fourth, and fifth.

I have two more drafts this weekend. Tight sphincter incoming. See if I can lay off the QB position until 9-10 this time instead of panicking and grabbing one in the 5th/6th.

Generic question to the board- Inplay in a full point PPR 10 team keeper league that essentially forces you to trot 4 WR weekly.

I’m keeping Chase and Najee, so I’m comfortable there. Draft Sunday- would anyone else attack WR before prioritizing RB? I feel like the step down from the first 40 WR is a lot steeper than at 20 RB.

Full PPR generally leads me to go with a more WR heavy build, mostly because there are a lot of useful receiving backs late in drafts who get their value pumped up when they’re getting a full point per reception.

Half PPR leads me to just follow the draft and play it as it comes to me, adjusting my strategy on the fly.

Standard scoring is always a RB heavy build if everything else is equal. Obviously in 2QB standard like that league I posted about above, I’m going to adjust my strategy. But if it’s a league with 2RB/2WR/1FLEX I am often going to start our drafting 3 RBs. Sometimes I’ll take a TE with one of those picks depending on where I’m picking and if Kelce or Andrews is good value there. Most TEs are absolutely useless in standard, so I want an elite one if at all possible.

Welcome back, Fantasy Football!

A good draft gets you in the playoffs. Lucking out on the waivers gets you to the ship.

What do y'all think of my team? (half PPR)

QB: Patrick Mahomes
RB1: Jonathan Taylor
RB2: JK Dobbins
WR1: CeeDee Lamb
WR2: DJ Moore
TE: Travis Kelce
FLEX: Jaylon Waddle
K: Justin Tucker
DST: EMPTY

BENCH:

Chase Edmonds
Jason Robinson
Amari Cooper
Miles Sanders
Russel Gage
Garrett Wilson
Robert Woods

I feel I am a bit weak at RB - need someone to establish themselves as a solid RB2. I had the first pick in a snake draft so was able to secure Kelce at the turn in the third. I'd say it's balanced with past proven production but wish I had picked a few more breakout potentials.

I had pick 9 in a half ppr 10 team league. I'm pretty happy with the results. I think I caused a panic when I took Herbert at 9 and Lamar at 12. My buddy who is the league commissioner complained that I ruined the qb economy :chuckle: I also stacked their top receivers in Williams and Bateman which really wasn't my intention, but it just kind of happened that way. I really wanted to stay away from David Montgomery, but he was still hanging around at the end of the 9th round so I ended up just drafting him. I also really don't like Claypool; that was sort of a panic pick late in the draft when my queue went empty. I'm going to try and trade him.

My keeper league where this year was keep 5 in a 2QB league:

QB P Mahomes K
QB D Prescott K
RB AJ Dillon
RB T Pollard
WR T Hill K
WR C Lamb K
TE M Andrews K
F D Moore
F T Higgins
K Lutz

D Patriots
B R Tannehill
B C Patterson
B R Penny
B K Gainwell
B J Robinson
B K Toney
B C Kirk
B E Engram
B Colts

I ended up going Zero RB when I wasn't planning on it, but Tee Higgins and DJ Moore where they were were too much to pass up where they fell to me.

I was able to get off Claypool. I traded him and Hines for Chris Olave and Russell gage. I plan on dropping Gage and picking a running back up off waivers. I put in a claim or Kenny Gainwell.

I have the second pick in a 12 team PPR league. #1 pick is going to be JT. I'm really hesitant to take CMC because of his injury history, but his ceiling is just so high. And even more so with check down Baker throwing the ball.

So, do I go with CMC or take Jefferson/Kupp?

I guess it depends on your risk aversion. CMC is a league winner if he's healthy. Jefferson might have one of the highest floors with a pretty high ceiling to boot.

I'm picking 3rd in a league. If CMC falls to 3, I'm probably taking him.
