E. Mobley immediately out of consideration to play? He still has a lot to work on.

Summer League isn't the place for a big who just finished 2nd in the ROTY vote. If I recall he didn't even pay all the games last year. Does he have stuff to work on? Yes. Summer League isn't where he needs to work on it at though.

Looks like we are keeping Nembhard. Otherwise we would be able to offer a Two Way contract.
Okay I’m confused! How many roster spots in the regular season are we able to carry?

We can carry 15 plus 2 two way in the regular season. We can carry 20 in the offseason (I'm not sure how 2 way contracts plays into that). The two draft and stash players wouldn't go on to the roster because we couldn't slash them once they have a NBA contract.

We can offer exhibit 10 contracts which can pay a player up to 50k for the summer league/offseason/camp and can be converted to a two way later or they can be put directly on to the charge if they don't make the 15 man once they clear NBA waivers.

Is SirDominic Pointer playin this year?

I don't think they have his rights anymore. They brought him to camp and waived him at some point. They also gave him a 10 day contract later on.

I wonder if Brandon Goodwin will end up playing in the SL. He is 26 years old, but has been at the far end of NBA benches his whole career.

Cavs definitely have a showcase spot for whomever agrees to play the point with Travers, Isaiah and Och. I bet Evan will be in the practices then sit out the games.
RJ Nembhard likely to play as well, I would imagine. He’ll probably play some PG.

Please someone else explain why we always have the least inspiring SL rosters and two way signings.

Like, we have our draft picks now, but we never sign those underrated Julian Champagnies of the world. It's like we put no value in it.

I think some teams just are aggressive in going after UDFA. I think some NBA teams treat UDFA like the NFL does. They start making calls and offering potential contracts even before the draft ends. They allocate money because they know if they hit on a guy they build assets and depth in a extremely cheap way.

I know when they got Delly, someone in the front office worked out all the different ways they could maximize the offer to Delly to get him to come to camp.

It not even just about summer league or two way contracts. Being aggressive with signing UDFA is how we can build up the Charge to a good developmental program. Using two way contract and exhibit 10 contracts can basically build out the front end of the Charge's rotation. Both those contracts bypass players entering the G-league draft after cut downs at camp.

The Charge should also be an attractive part of our sales pitch to UDFA. They now share the practice facility with the Cavs and play in downtown Cleveland. More stability for players that are on a two way contract so they don't have to travel between cities everytime they get called up or down. Also guys should have a leg up for 10 day contracts because our staff will be already working with them.

Some G-league affiliates are in much smaller cities and some can be real far from the associated NBA team. The Heat's G-league affiliate is in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

So who are our two way players. Because the only players I see with guaranteed rosters are:
DG, LaVert, Sexton, Lauri, Stevens, JA, Mobley, Cedi, Windler, Agbaji, Love, and Wade. That’s 12 spots….so let’s add the 2 two way players. That’s 14! Am I missing somebody? Seems like we have at least 1-2 more spots still open for somebody to shine in summer league and get a spot. None of the players currently on the roster are guaranteed roster spots and be cut, right? So is Fedor saying all we can offer people are summer league spots?

Cavaliers had been aggressive in the past when we didn't have 2nd round picks. I remember both Dean Wade and Lamar Stevens signed almost immediately after the draft. And last year I think they signed a couple to SL right when draft ended and they just didn't pan out.

I think Goodwin and Nembhard are on two way contracts but we could easily move them onto regular non-guaranteed contracts so they are counted against the 20 man roster up until 15 man roster cuts. Which would open up offering 2 two way contracts to guys. Even exhibit 10 contracts are more than summer league invites and give guys some good amount of money.

Summer league invite, up to 50k, and a camp invite is what a exhibit 10 contract could offer even if we didn't want to use our two way contracts. Two way doesn't lock us in to a player, we can cut them if they suck in summer league and give it to someone else. We could also move Goodwin and Nembhard back on to a two way contract at the end of camp if no one was better than them.

I'm sure all of it amounts to some amount of money but it's probably very insignificant in NBA terms.

Goodwin and Moses brown are the 2 ways i thought

Moses Brown was added to the 15 man roster at the end of the season so he would be eligible to play in the play in games.

Isaiah Mobley is signing a Two Way deal so he is one of the two way deals. As for the other it will likely be Nembhard or Goodwin but both are technically free agents but since Cavaliers didn't sign an UDFA to a two way deal post draft I assume they plan on bringing one of them back.
