Any chance the Bucks make the tournament? I watch zero college hoops these days but if they beat Rutgers that’s 19 wins. That’s a bubble team right?

Beating Rutgers AND getting 1 or 2 B10 tournament wins would be even better.
They've been on a mini roll with Diebler, including win over #2 Purdue, and they don't have any tier 3 or 4 losses. Those are all important factors.

NIT bid 100% imo, need 2 more wins minimum to possibly make NCAA imo.

A prime example of how waiting too long to fire a coach can sink a season. This could have and should have been an NCAA tourney team easily.


The whole "you'll lose the locker room" stuff is mostly made up. If a coach is bad, the players generally know it.

This applies to another team too.

That was my take a week ago. They needed to beat Rutgers, then win at least one tournament game to be on the bubble. Now, win 2 tournament games, l think they are in for sure. Either way, NIT is a consolation, but it is a lock imo.

Looks like I got it wrong on opponents. I thought OSU was guaranteed a 9 seed by beating Rutgers and would play the MSU/Indiana loser. Being a 10 seed may be better for them. They still get the bye on Wednesday. I don’t think playing Iowa is that much more difficult than Sparty. Plus, they would avoid Purdue in the quarters and play Illinois instead.

Big win tonight. Bigger game tomorrow. 20 wins in the Big 10 usually gets you in the tournament. Not likely this year, though, unless they beat Illinois. What a different team they are since Deibler took over. Hard to fathom, really.
