2023-24 Season | Game #39 | Bucks @ Cavs | Jan. 17, 2024 | 7:30 p.m. | ESPN

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What do they do without Giannis? Crowder is just back from a long injury. Portis & Lopez are their only playable size.

Run everything at Dame on offense. If they switch pass to whoever he’s guarding.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

The schedule is horrendous this season. Tons of repeat teams, and then this stretch where we play the Bucks three times in two weeks.
There are 15 games until the All-Star Break and this is a super tough stretch but i think they definitely can get at least 8 wins here...

Say goodbye to 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists. This means Portis likely starts at PF leaving the Bucks very short on their bench, which was thin already.

Dame averages 25 and he'll likely shoot a lot more. Middleton averages 15 in 25 minutes per game. They may push him to 30 minutes tonight. Beasley will put up more shots; he's shooting 49% overall and 48% on 3's. But Giannis leads the Bucks in on/off at 11.2 points and he also averages 35 minutes, so their bench is going to have to make up those 35 minutes.

Like I pointed out, this is a team that relies heavily on just six or seven players and none more so than Giannis, so his loss is huge. However, I've seen lots of games where teams went out and won without their star, so the Cavs need to be ready to rock.

Calling it now 12-3 with losses to Det, Mem, Wash and the board implodes after each game.

Man, I don't see 8 wins there. 5-6 IMO, but what do I know? Tough stretch, but we'll be done with the Bucks right?

You think they could go 5-10? Are you freaking nuts?!?

I see them as underdogs (say by more than 2 or 3 points, several should be close to "pick 'em") in only 3 of the 15 games: at ORL and two at Milwaukee. You gotta be a big time pessimist to come out of that with a 6-9 or 5-10 prediction, especially with how well they've been playing.
