100%. But posting that the Cavaliers once again proving they aren’t ready for prime time two minutes into the game is just silly. Or calling for JBB to be fired when we’re up 10 in the fourth. But I agree that people should post whatever silliness that want … for me to poop on.
See you Monday, my friend. Have a great weekend

My phone died mid-game, but super impressive win.
  • Credit to LeVert for a big dagger 3. Both he and Max took and hit clutch, closely-contested threes. LeVert also had the drive that led to JA's big putback. Hecan be frustrating, but LeVert does have a solid PnR game with Jarrett, and that herky-jerky style can draw in the drop defender such that JA gets a largely uncontested putback against small lineups. Great.
  • Wade hit some big, well-contested shots as well. That's the biggest difference between him and Okoro, and I love how much the team encourages Wade. Make no mistake, it's still January. Come the playoffs, the close-outs will be tighter. It's going to take confidence and execution under pressure. Take and hit those shots, fellas!
  • Shout-out to Niang for some hugely important baskets during that stretch when Milwaukee rained down 4 threes.

I could go on. Sam had some great baskets inside the arc. Damian Jones serviceable again. Good rebounding while they built the lead. A couple of high-effort plays to stall their attempted comeback. Donovan put them away, and what a joy to see him score on the loathesome Jae Crowder.

Go Cavs. 9 of 10.

It’s easy to come in postgame and make comments and analysis; posters are making real-time posts in reaction to what is occurring at that time. Fan is derived from fanatic and if you’re in here on a game by basis , you’re a fanatic. Of course, there are overreactions but it’s all within the desire for us to do better and win.

During the course of the game , it’s more than legitimate criticism to harp on Okoro for missing 4 straight free throws regardless of his blocks and other contributions; just as it was legitimate criticism when Donovan was playing iso-ball as the Cavs were squandering a lead despite his immeasurable positive contributions throughout the game

Thank you for the explanation, it all makes sense now. :chuckle:

Cavs hit the NBA stats boards again! Go Cavs!

A lot of good in this game besides the win. Keeping the intensity on defense, mostly.

LeVert lowkey was pissing me off at stages of this game but made up for it with that dagger 3.

I don't know Donovan Mitchell can play a game that looks lowkey ass in real time but ends up with a 32pts/8rebs/6ast line at the end. That "extra dagger 3" (made because Middleton was eating poopoo) was justice.

Dean Wade making the most of his time in the starting line up.

Georges Niang: The Last "Bad Hombre" Standing.

Okoro was a defensive dawg tonight. Just making life hell for Dame, and didn't get hurt too bad facing off with Giannis.

Jarrett Allen with the 14th double-double in a row, again after a rough offensive start. Got back up after taking a nasty shot from Giannis and finished the game strong.

The Cavs edged out the Bucks in overall team stats. Just like before. This time the Bucks assisted the ball more, slightly.

The difference (besides better shooting luck for certain players) was getting a fairer whistle this time around. Giannis actually getting some of his BS called and the grift not being as effective worked in the Cavs' favor.

However, they smoked way too many freebies to my liking.

GREAT WIN despite it all. Glad there'll be no more Bucks this season unless they see each other in the playoffs.

How does fvv block 6 shots? Dude is shorter than DG

This has to be one of the two or three most impressive wins of the year. Holding the Bucks to 100 when they average 124.5 was the key. Just an incredible defensive performance. They saw what went wrong two nights ago and fixed it. They forced 18 turnovers and blocked 8 shots. Really impressive. They proved they can play with the big boys on the road even without two starters.

The Cavs shot 31 free throws tonight versus 15 on Wednesday. They were definitely more aggressive. They missed nine but fortunately won anyway.

The Bucks' age was showing. Lillard was 7-for-24 and was abused on defense, Lopez was 4-for-14 and a couple of those were put-backs, and Middleton was 5-for-16. All three of the Bucks' 30-something starters had bad nights offensively. And wonder of wonders, Giannis was called for three offensive fouls.

Mitchell was awesome with a line of 32/8/6, but he still played too much iso. Allen had a nice game with 24 points and 14 boards, but he still missed a few shots because he had one eye on the bucket and the other on Lopez. He needs to just focus on the shot and not rush it.

Niang was a +10 off the bench and yes, he had some key baskets to keep the Cavs in front when the Bucks got hot from the 3-point line. Damian Jones had 4 points, 7 rebounds, an assist, and two blocks in 12 minutes, doing an excellent Tristan Thompson on PED's impersonation. LeVert had a line of 12/4/5 in 24 minutes but that 3-pointer that gave the Cavs a 9-point lead and broke the Bucks momentum was the biggest shot of the game.

Strus pushed the lead to 16 points with four minutes to go, but the Cavs almost choked the game away. The Bucks cut the lead to 6 over the next two minutes, but with 1:39 to go LeVert buried a contested 3-pointer with one second on the shot clock. Cold.

Love this team. I thought they would play much better the second time around and they certainly did. Everybody contributed, although Okoro was 1-for-6 with 3 points in 31 minutes. Huge win.
