I keep looking at Michigan's schedule so far and what is remaining. Pretty much hot garbage until they play Penn St and us at the end of the season. Nothing they have done so far wows me to be the #2 team in the country.

Well yeah, the B1G is down this year and Michigan once again played the worst OOC schedule in the entire Power 5.

They definitely should not be ranked in the top 2, they're still living off a projection based on their 2022 season. However, the rankings are meaningless right now. And it's tough to truly judge them until they play a real football team. They've clearly been operating in cruise control mode, especially with Harbaugh being suspended.
