2023 Season | Series #50 | Orioles @ Guardians | Sep. 21 -24, 2023

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not sure why so negative, Watson had one horrible play but turned out ok on the backwards pass, and Moores fumble was good defense, not bad offense. Other than that, Watson has looked good.

Is Tmac actually skinnier???

He's about done... A big hit gets me doing chores earlier than I want...

4 walks in the inning - bases loaded with 2 outs. 47 pitches on the day with only 17 strikes.. Ouch.

And Tmac is done...

Really rough outing - 52 pitches 19 strikes

1.2IP 1H 3ER 6BB 0K.

Took an hour and 40 minutes to get to the Rosey innings.

Question.

If Manzardo is as good as we believe he is and as ready as we think he is that he will be up in 2024, which I believe everyone agrees he will be, is it worthwhile to bring him up a month or so later, watch him go off, and he still is given a full year of service time?

That’s the risk you are taking by not opening up the season with him. Manipulating his service time only to lose that team control anyways for less than a full seasons worth of production.

The new rules have made it harder for position players, especially highly regarded prospects on the cusp of breaking in already, to have their service time manipulated because teams are afraid of losing out on a full year for only 3/4ths or 2/3rds of a season, so they’re just getting the full year off the rip.

Manzardo is the first guy we’ve had with a legit chance to qualify for the draft pick compensation should he make the Opening Day roster. He’s going to be given a legit chance to make the roster out of the gates, regardless of his rule 5 status. Why do you think we traded Bell after acquiring him?
Might seem like a silly question... In order to qualify for compensation, wouldn't Manazardo give us a better a chance of that by playing1st base regularly and not spending much time at DH, or does it even matter?

This ump sure has some fuzzy edges when it comes to the strike zone.

Big Sam's scoreless streak is finally over.

Tena has a nice swing from the left side..

Jose with a perfect day.. gets on top of a high/inside pitch for a single..

<----- would love to see Brennan go to LF on pitches up and on the RHH's batter's box side of the plate..

frozen rope throw gets Gimi attempting to steal.. what an arm Adley has...
