2023 Summer League Champs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
On the broadcast they said that Penny Hardaway tried to use him as a PG in Memphis and he had trouble making the transition. My guess is he didn't have a good PG at Eastern Michigan. I think how the Cavs used him is exactly how he can thrive in the NBA.

He looks like a player that can shoot and cut off ball. His bad decision making really comes when he is trying to break guys down off the dribble. After the first game, he really seem to show he knows how to play within the flow of an offense. If he isn't asked to be the first or second ball handler on the floor, he will be able to find his role on the team.

From what I saw, his weakest skill is his handles. Trying to make him a PG seems like a terrible idea to me.

That blowout was a beautiful thing to see. The Summer League team runs a better offense than the mainline Cavs do, IMO.
Cavs should let Sam be the "Danny Green" of this season.
Very encouraged to see Emoni with the passing and blocks today. Not to mention the draining 3s contested. The flaws are still there, front and center, but he's playing the right way. I love that he goes up for the offensive rebounds always.

CPJ is wild. Like -- the rebounds he gets are hilarious. Just how...

Luke Travers in this squad is almost a perfectly connective player. Loved some of his passing and just how he moves around the court. The shooting is not great. But he's pretty money in the paint/around the rim.

All these guys will need more time (except Sam IMO). But the Cavs made the right call on their two-ways.

we are a talent factory right now, the Rockets best player plays for our G league team

that's because the Rockets sent Jabari Smith and Tari Eason home after two games to rest for the season. Those two stay on the summer team it's an entirely different story

These are nicer than NBA championship rings from the 70s!

Most of the guys on that team will be lucky to get any real time with an NBA team, and this will literally be the highlight of their NBA careers.

Pretty cool of the NBA to realize that and give these guys something tangible they can have for the rest of their lives to remember it to show their kids, grandkids, friends, etc..
