#25: ATH, Jabrill Peppers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Peppers started out way too conservative, fair catching everything and letting lots of balls bounce. Then after his wishy washy fan comments he started trying to make plays and he's been a lot more aggressive with pretty decent results. It's wrong to crucify him for a fumble on an aggressive punt return attempt. This shit happens sometimes when play makers try to make plays. Get over it.
Lol no. That wasn’t the time to make a play. That’s a time when you don’t fumble. That’s been my entire point. You could NOT lose that game short of a turnover. You were EXTREMELY likely to either tie or win if you just don’t turn the ball over. That wasn’t the time to make a play

He lost the game. Deal with it.

Situational football seems like a real weakness on this team. Whether it's Myles jumping offsides, Baker taking unnecessary sacks, and ofcouse, Peppers doing too much.

Sounds like bad coaching to me

I'd say the shitty game plan, inept defensive game plan, and ball-less offense in the first half is what lost us the game. Yeah, the fumble basically iced it, but we never should have been in that position to begin with.

A lot of guys fucked up today. Not just Peppers. All those little mistakes (which often come down to lack of preparation...aka coaching) add up in the end. Without all the idiotic penalties we probably win that game without OT.

I don't disagree. Not to mention the refs...

But yeah, the fumble took what was at least a guaranteed tie and turned it into a loss. That's pretty damn brutal.

It is, but guys are gonna fuck up sometimes. It just looks so much worse because of when it happened. But in the end, Peppers played a good game otherwise, so you just gotta move on and work with him on ball security so it doesn't happen again any time soon.

I think it's encouraging how much better he's looked on returns the past two games, bad turnover aside.

Personally, I think Peppers is just kind of in a shit position here. When he plays well, barely anyone says anything because they don't like him because he went to Michigan. When he makes any mistake, though, everyone is quick to chime in and pile on because they don't like him because he went to Michigan.

No win situation for him.

Wishy washy fans...

He isn't the only reason the Browns lost. I'm done nit picking him. The Browns are an organizational failure and it's not one single player. This team will never be good with Hue in charge. I pity Jabril like I pity every other Brown.

As anyone who has played the game at least at a collegiate level... I'm sorry but coaching be damned that is when you want to make a play. Something that puts the game in your favor not a fair catch at the 30.

Peppers has shown me everything I have wanted him to be over the last few weeks. Someone trying to make a play regardless of circumstance and someone willing to hit or play in coverage. That is all

Yep.

People can deny it all the want, but that's all it really boils down to. The same people that openly hate him are usually the same one's really active in OSU game threads.

Strange coincidence.

I have a very strong dislike for Peppers and actually like Michigan out of my disdain for OSU. I wish he was half the playmaker he thinks he is.
