3 Trades That Put Us In Contention

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If your in shape you can run up and down the floor. He can't without being winded. He's not in shape and not even close to game shape. If he had a good work ethic it would of never got this far. As bad as he's been he would be first one in and last one out of the gym working. Hell even Jack and Clark have been doing that lately because of their struggles. Have you heard of Bennett working hard at anything?

Yeah, I've heard nothing but good thing about his work ethic in practice. The only way to get in game shape is by playing, it's no shock to me that he's not there yet.

He should have kept a better diet after his surgery, but he literally could not work out due to his shoulder needing to be immobilized.

Seems that you are just incapable of giving much more.

Judging by your posting history, I would say that you are the one incapable of making a quality post.

I've not heard those reports about Bennett, so glad to hear it now.

Just doesn't act like he has the work ethic or heart to succeed.

Dramatic. His surgery was in May. His arm was only immobilized for a month. L A Z Y.

I'll revitalize this thread with another crazy trade idea that puts us in contention:

I don't like the deal but it's hard to pinpoint which parts exactly I don't like. Idk, if we're giving up this much young talent I guess I just want a better return than Dragic and Frye.

On another note, I'm surprised at how much of a bargain contract Dragic is on. 7.5 mil for his production is great.

A more appealing deal imo would be something that included Archie Goodwin and Plumlee/Len. If we're giving up Dion and TT I'd at least like a reliable and young center prospect along with someone to fill our needs on the the wings. Throw in some fillers to make the numbers work out and that deal is actually pretty fair all around.

Contention for what exactly?

I guess I'd rather just wait until the offseason before committing fairly large sums of money to solid NBA players. Plus I think teams would be more willing to give up those sorts of players on draft night, especially Phoenix, who should be adding quite a bit of talent on draft night.

Yeah, I'm not sure how much I like it myself since it leaves us with two bigs on the wrong side of 30 who can't defend the post. We'd really have to swing another trade to bring in a third big (or find Zeller some roids). Irving-Dragic would immediately be the best offensive backcourt in the NBA though, so at least we'd be fun to watch.

I love me some Dragic, but you're trading Waiters for Different Waiters, and then selling Thompson for pennies on the dollar. Frye is a great shooter, but he's one dimensional and tapped out ceiling-wise - a bit player.

Dragic and Irving on this team would struggle without the free flying antics the Suns are currently running and the plethora of three point shooters they have. The reason Dragic and Bledsoe are working is because the team creates so much space.

this trade is beyond horrible lol

Na, it's not beyond horrible, but it's definitely giving up too much. Dragic is playing out of his mind and hasn't slowed down yet. But Waiters and Thompson is too steep a price for him considering his fit isn't ideal. We should be eying guys like Afflalo or Hayward at the other guard spot, guys that are better off the ball and have some size, not guys who need the ball in their hand like Dragic.

Also, Frye is decent, but there are better value bigs on the Suns with better contracts. Like Markieff or even Plumlee.

Realistically the Suns aren't going to give up young talent in a trade with us. Dragic is possibly the best SG in the game right now though, so we'd definitely be trading quarters for dollars there. Irving-Dragic-Deng would be a legit big 3 IMO, and although Waiters and Thompson are significant losses we would still have a good group of players to put around them.

Thoughts? Either everything somehow clicks and we charge into the playoffs or we go down burning and get a top-5 pick. Win-win!
