and this has officially been moved to fantasy island.

According to anonymous sources (Aren't they always?), Danny Ferry had a sit-down with Larry Hughes and his agent and Mike Brown. The conversation reportedly consisted of Hughes being told that the Cavaliers would do everything they could to trade him by the deadline. Larry was told that he needed to quit casting a bad light on the Cavaliers and that he'd have to play where-ever and however needed (isn't that what he's supposed to do anyway???). Another source confirmed that a conversation took place, but that he didn't know what was said.

A source on the TNT telecast last night also confirmed a conversation between Hughes and Ferry took place.

My sources (television set) also tell me that a sit down took place between Ferry and Damon Jones.

:chuckles:

just messin with ya heath....

This meeting took place on Monday...it wasn't very secretive. Every local writer mentioned it their articles on Tuesday because they could see it taking place at the practice facility. I dont think Larry's agent was there though.

From BW - "Brown and General Manager Danny Ferry also held a lengthy postpractice meeting with Larry Hughes. Hughes has been playing poorly for much of the season and has recently been complaining to the media about his role in the Cavs' offense and his playing time after being moved out of the starting lineup. Hughes' penchant for complaining has seemed to spread to his teammates, some of whom have been showing their displeasure more often of late."

From Finnan - "Disgruntled guard meets with GM Ferry and Mike Brown at team's practice facility. The Cavaliers met with disgruntled guard Larry Hughes after practice on Monday. Coach Mike Brown, General Manager Danny Ferry and Hughes huddled at the team's practice facility in Independence. None of the parties involved were available afterward to discuss the matter."

A guy named Craig Sager (my source) confirmed that too me as well...

What? get the heck out of here, we all have the same source?

Oh and BTW, that pink hat is F'n awesome..

Meeting was also reported yesterday on TV. They also interviewed BW on the phone. Basically said Larry was untradable. Brian said best option for the cavs was to get production out of Larry. Did not hold out much expectation for any trade, at least thats what I heard.

I can't imagine we wont trade Newble and Brown for something. But I am no longer optomistic about a useful trade before the deadline.

On another note, I wonder how long it will be before miami and Chicago both throw in the towel. As bad as we have been, these two teams have sucked long and loud. Shaq is out with knee and hip problems, and Mourning is out for the season. Chicago can't seem to figure it out. Either everyone is sandbagging until after the deadline, or the pundits got it wrong this year.

My new re-building plan.

Marshall & Shannon for Arroyo & Reddick

Ira & Damon, 2nd rounder, cash, for Andre.

New look:

PG: Andre, Arroyo, Snow
SG: Hughes, Boobie, Reddick, Devin
SF: LBJ, Sasha
PF: AV, Drew
C: Z, Simmons, and Dwayne.

Also frees 1 roster spot.
