What I've heard of this trade possibility is that it would appear on the surface to be EXTREMELY one sided in the CAVS favor from a competiive standpoint in the here and now ... 76ers looking toward future, and opening up cap space.

Just reread your post and noted that not only was the word extremely used, but it was also put in all caps. Hmmm....

Yeah... But, he's a big who can actually catch a ball and dunk it in the mid-air-- I think it's called an alley-oop ?? But not sure since I haven't seen one of those guys around here...

Also, he's an intimidating shot blocker who can defend... We need one of those as well..

Jason Smith on the other hand couldn't guard a can of Sprite...

Then I propose Dwight Howard. His specialty are dunks. I heard he's really good at it.

I'm on board with Dwight as well...

Word is the Celts are openly shopping KG..

Really?! i think eric snow, dj2, dj1, shannon brown, pavs, and hughes for him and ray allen would be fair.

This would be a step in the right direction, after this we would need a quality shooting guard. Sasha, Larry, Shannon and Devin brown don't count.

Would be really nice if we could find someone in the draft, a lot like how the mavs found josh howard with the last pick of the first round...

Wow, sounds awesome.

Newble/Snow/Shannon for Miller/Evans/Booth?

Does Ferry have the guts to pull the trigger?

If we get rid of Snow/Gooden and bring in Miller and any capable big - I think I'd cry. Our basketball IQ/ability/clutch shooting/offense/defense/transition offense/everything that possibly involves basketball- goes up. Pros include offense, transition, a true threat on offense, energy, no more stupid plays. Cons include a little lighter in depth at PF spot. I like the Pros a little more.

I wouldn't get my hopes up.

An "extremely" one sided trade doesn't have us moving a starter for Miller. It's more along the lines of bench scraps for him.

As I've been saying for a while, Ira+Damon is a nice deal. They don't want too much talent, or they'll mess up their draft position. If Miami wants to pursue Miller and offer William's expiring contract, that certainly trumps our expiring, but then it's all about what else we can toss in. Shannon is technically a 1st round pick, and no doubt they can have him.

The Sixers do need front court scoring, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had some interest in Drew, but we're too shallow in the front court to throw him in.

Is there really anything to this? the Plain Dealer article doesn't mention anything close to any details and just appears to be one of those rumor floats thrown in there to fill out an article a bit more. Considering the PD's poor Cavs reporting history (i.e. we signed Redd!!!) as well I'm going to be skeptical about something happening till something more concrete comes out.

This team really must maintain its winning seasons otherwise there will be unrest. Making a move for Andre isn't perfect, but does give this team a much needed boost and some slack off LeBron.

Andre would be good at pick'n'roll/pop offense, and getting some better looks inside for LeBron. It also takes away the need for Sasha to have to create for himself, and also limit the use of Larry.

It's perfect if he comes cheap. As much as you and I would love to ship Drew's defense out of town, we have some serious depth problems in the front court at the moment, and no one is going to be too happy to see us lose Gibson or our 1st round pick next year.

Now if we could trade Shannon for Jarrett Jack ...

Haha :(
