A Closer Look at Derrick Williams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Huh? Where have you been the last 5-7 years? The NBA has become a PG's league. Just watch a couple games this next season, and you'll start to understand.

When was the last time a team won the NBA title with its best player being a point guard? Kobe's a 2, Dirk and Garnett are 4's, Duncan a 4/5. Maybe Billups with Detroit?

I know it's in vogue to say it's a PG's league, but I'm wondering if that's as true post-season as it in the regular season. Post season, half court sets and tighter defenses that require multiple passes to break seem more common.

Jason Kidd is a hall of fame PG. Sure, he isn't the star he once was but he still was a very important part of the Mavericks winning it from a stability point of view. I tend to think the whole "it is a PG's league" is an overrated statement though. It has and has always been a league where great players help shape how we play the game.
