A New Beginning

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This is going to be 10+ years of shitty to mediocre teams. Stop sprinkling sugar on shit. We're bad and are going to be bad indefinitely. FFS our summer league roster is going to basically be our starting lineup. Ugh this is going to be painful. From finals to lottery team.

Not gonna end and begin well. Dan's dumbass has already gone on the record saying they want to try to compete next year. "They don't want to go backward, but forward" "Kevin Love is in our plans with or without LeBron" etc... Dan's ego is way too big to bottom out immediately. They will chase mediocrity and cough up our pick next year. It will be 2020 before the rebuild really begins.

2020 draft lottery is the next big thing.
2019 draft is OK but 2020 has 3 mega star prospects in it.-one superstar center, one superstar wing, and one superstar point guard.....
Got to bottom out....

I mean if we tank, half our young guys hit and so does our lottery next year , team with Kevin wouldn't be bad

We're not beating any of the top teams tho

Can we get Delly back? Trade one of our exprings to bring him back.

Last year was playing to keep LeBron. This year should be all about a youth movement and shedding salary. Talk to Portland and see about sending Love up there. I would also talk to Boston and see if the talk about trading Kyrie is real and then see what it would take to get him back. See if LA or Philly want Korver. Find a taker for Mr. Kardashian. Convince JR that he planned to retire. Keep Hill until the trade deadline and then see if a team wants him for a playoff push.

Irregardless, a team of Cedi, Sexton, Nance, Hood, Clarkson, and Zizic will likely suck balls next year, but they should be young and at least fun to watch.

Getting rid of Love is the obvious move. Build around an unmotivated JR to lead the tank and lets suck ass for a couple years.

Fun and quick rebuild? If by fun and quick you mean bottom 10 consistently and 10-15 years then you hit it on the head.

The Cavs need to go long on this rebuild...

Sexton is a great piece.

2019 pick needs to be a starter level player.

2020 pick needs to be the next superstar we draft. This is the draft we have to target. We get one of the top 3 kids in this draft and we’re golden...

I kind of want to keep George Hill. Think he'd be good for Sexton. I like his game and like how he goes about his business.

I wouldn't panic trade Love. Get some good value.

Honestly, our contract situation isn't that bad. We already have two prime young prospects in Sexton and Cedi.

Hood and Nance are decent building blocks.

This will be fine. I'm excited to get back to REAL CAVS FANS Basketball.

Holy shit this team is going to be bad.

I have a feeling we’re going to LOVE Sexton. His passion and energy seems like he’ll fit right in with this city. Be patient with his game, it needs to grow. But the type of player he is and the Westbrook type passion is going to be fun to watch. Someone who wants to be here and cares.

TT jr and hill unmotivated without Lebron is going to make us a bottom 3 team alone. I can’t wait. Add to that ty lue will be free to run as many jr iso mid range shots as he wants. Cedi may never see the floor again. We’ll be lucky to win 20 games.

We are in a better situation (player wise) this time than the last time 'he' left but that doesn't make it feel any better. I could rationalize (like everyone else) how we can begin doing this or that because 'he' is not here anymore and how exciting it will be to actually see younger players play, etc. etc.

Fact is, the only 2 things good: During a rebuild there are cheaper tickets when they come to Portland the next few years. Was able to get tickets 5 rows back from 2010 until 'he' returned, then the last rows of the upper bowl were that same price. Second is, no fucking drama with 'him' for the next 4 years. 'He' wears thin on me quick but I gotta love getting to the finals every year even with all 'his' drama.

The Summer League and Lottery is now a yearly event we have to mark on our calendars and scrutinize the ceilings and floors of every player we could possibly have on our team.

If any of you weren't here the last time, get ready for this ride. It can be fun and it can be frustrating but the low expectations make it so easy to accept the shit we are about to witness.

Thanks to 'him' for the last 4 years and a championship. Now that 'you' are no longer a Cavalier, I hope age gets the best of 'you' quickly and without remorse.

I would trade all the expirings for bad contracts to gain picks or young players. See what the Bucks will give if we take Delly and whoever else they want to get rid of off their hands so they can clear money for Middleton and Brogden. See if Orlando wants to get rid of Bismack Biyombo for the OKC top 20 protected 2020 pick. See if the Hornets want to move MKG and Mozgov with a young player.
