Do Not Sell My Personal Information

How do you feel about the recent women movement in America?

Unfortunately, in this day and age, with the MRA and the rise of Third Wave Feminism; it's definitely not apolitical, and there are alliances of thought and ideology that, while not understanding these topics, will view them and argue them from a political lens.

Well, as long as your "alliances of thought and ideology" are not posting here, who gives a shit? This is a basic topic about how ordinary guys are supposed to act in light of the differing expectations of women. That can easily be discussed without getting political.

Now sure, some toolshed might decide to try to make it political, but it doesn't have to be.

There are many ways women communicate, both verbal and non-verbal. Before social media and texting, most young men learned this through face-to-face interaction on a daily basis. Body language and tone of voice are very important. If a man is pursuing sexual contact with a woman he should at least understand the basics of how women communicate with men.
Ask your mother.
Ask your sister.
Ask your aunt.
Ask a female friend.
Ask your father.
Ask a guy who's been in a relationship for more than a 2 years.
They all probably know and if you aren't a complete dipshit they will probably tell you the truth.

Don't rely on advice from social media, celebrities, women's mags, men's mags, social justice warriors, dating sites, hook-up sites, porn ads, talk show hosts, star athletes, universities, wealthy men, exceptionally attractive men or the other guys trying to pick up drunken sluts at 2am.

Learn from people that know, not people that think they know.

You missed this post by the OP:
Jordan Peterson had a great debate on feminism topics:

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMcjxSThD54

This "topic" was opened to be political, and a critique of feminism. Feminism is a political topic.

Someone move this thread to EAYOR and fill it with pictures of hot chicks. Politics problem solved my friends.

All you're doing is proving that someone can turn any topic into politics. That doesn't mean the topic can't be discussed on a non-political level.

If the topic is feminism, that is political. If the topic is something outside of that scope, just about women's issues in a completely apolitical scope, then I'd agree with you.

But just looking at the thread, it's fairly obvious the intent of most posters, on both sides here (to be fair), is to make a political statement or engage in political discourse.

So if we can't talk about whether women are or are not oppressed, or whether they are paid less or not; then what are we suppose to discuss about women? Isn't there already a sexy time thread where we objectify them?

What exactly do we discuss abut them here now that there are apparently new rules (I missed the memo).

So who appointed goury as the rule keeper as to whether or not something is or isn't political?

Because we certainly aren't discussing possible legislation or any representatives of political parties.

No, we can't talk about these issues anymore. The site admin said we can't talk about political topics and that it was ruining the site.

I've been here 9 years, and the political threads were generally great; we had good debates.. but it's gotten out of hand, and unfortunately, it's not even up for debate anymore.

It's comments like this that have led to politics being shut down here. It's this kind of personal nonsense ... Like, how on Earth could you disagree with the term "political" here?

.... sigh ....

This is gonna end in a handful of people being banned if you don't take the most obvious hint from Ben ever...
