Addressing the hole at center

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yet that could be the type of atmosphere that helps Sanders put things together. It'd have to be a minimum deal, but if Sanders can get his head screwed on straight, the man is a monster in the paint.

Imagine Mozgov getting 30-34mpg and Sanders picking up the rest. Could get 3 blocks a game out of that duo and a lot more altered shots.

I don't know if LeBron knows Sanders at all, but I think LeBron would have the best chance of any current vet of helping Sanders get his head right.

Not to mention the worst case scenario - if Mozzy would go down with an injury at any point. Do you want a guy who can play for a title contender (Sanders, assuming he gets his head straight) or some of these other busted C's being thrown around?

I'd rather roll with someone who can at least come close to giving us what Mozgov has so far.

If KG secured a buyout, would it be super egregious of me to want him on the Cavs? I know that he is rumored to favor the Clippers and I absolutely hate everything about him but if his addition would guarantee us a championship, I'd let him bang my mom (not to mention that he'd be the perfect fit for us minus the whole hating LeBron thing).

I agree that KG would be perfect. The guy is a winner, and he knows how to defend. Plus he would be content with limited minutes. Somehow I get the feeling that although LeBron has been at odds with him in the past, he would welcome the idea of KG getting under the skin of the bigs in the East. If he accepts a buyout, the Cavs should at least inquire.

Not something you can "minus" out of the equation, and frankly, I cant see him on a Lebron-led team in any scenario. Not gonna happen.

Not to mention he's about done physically. This roster has enough vets on their career deathbed. Pass...

I'd die laughing while pissing myself if we end up with KG and Ray Allen.

Amare considering a buyout.

He would be good for a team looking for a 3rd/4th big. He's not a game changer at this point but would be a very solid addition to our bench. People make out like he's washed up, but honestly, he's still really productive. I think he can have an impact in the same way that Vince Carter was for the Grizzlies (or even the Mavs) before he got injured. A good offensive punch off the bench for a defensively minded elite team.

I would love to get Amare here. Could we dig up the Amare safari and get that one going again. He isn't close to the elite level athlete that he once was, but he is still a smart effective basketball player. He can play both 4 and 5 depending upon the matchup. He has spent time with David Griffin with the Suns so maybe there is a relationship there that could help us with the inside track to get him here. He would be great to have in a matchup against teams that have great post players like the Hawks or the Grizzlies. Now he won't help on the defensive end against them but he will make them work on defense. If all of the minutes at 4 are played by Love and Amare that means that you can not let up on D for the whole 48 minutes because they can kill you on that end.

Amar'e gets a few weakside blocks here and there and maybe being on a good team will goad him into playing defense but as a 4th big, can you really get that much better than a guy who can score the way he can while crashing the offensive glass?

Health is obviously a real concern since the whole point of getting another big would be for Mozgov insurance.

Would certainly help our garbage time stats out though

Considering our recent success on safari's I think we have a shot at landing him. I loved Stat, even when he brought the Knicks back. Its a shame to see what happened to him. There is not a lot left, nor do I think he brings a ton to the table, but he is a guy I wouldnt mind having fill in spot minutes at the PF. Give him 15 max and call it a day.

Well here's an interesting development: Enes Kanter has requested a trade form the Jazz. He's unhappy with minutes, but his numbers are pretty good.
I don't know what the Jazz would want. I don't know what we could offer. But I'd love to get another young big on this roster.

He plays over 25 minutes a game, so if he is unhappy there, here he will be down right pissed.

Further, we dont have anywhere close to a reasonable offer for Kanter.

Move on, Kanter is not going to happen.
