Antawn Jamison Trade Rumor

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
1.) Ariza's mediocre. J.J will not be moved to PF full time as long as Andy is out.

2.) You don't trade a 24 year old PG for a high volume scoring PG. And you don't trade him for a vet to mentor a rookie that you don't even know if you'll end up with. Settle that in the off-season when you know what pick you'll be getting & who is entering the draft.

3.) Couldn't care less what we get for Moon, but Anderson & Banks are basically throw-ins as an expiring & size. That's it.

4.) Us including the draft picks is the worst part, especially our own 2nd rd pick.

Dumb trade all the way around.

My sentiments exactly. Ariza isn't good enough to make the trade worth while and his contract isn't big enough that it becomes a valuable expiring down the road. Sessions has been playing really well as of late and because of his age he holds more value than Jack. If the Cavs really want to move Sessions, he will likely have much more value during the draft, both because of his reasonable contract and hopefully continued improved play. Banks is worthless to us. I don't really know enough about Anderson to comment either way, but it doesn't appear he offers anything special. Then giving up picks on top of everything?

This trade would go in the face of everything the front office has said all year. If this is the best they can do for Jamison now, they'd be much better off waiting till next year and trading him then.

He's weak as piss 6'11"ish center. Can't even stand him on the Australian Olympic team.

Switch Anderson for Jason Smith and no Sessions for Jack and we'll do that in a heartbeat.

Teams in desperate finances entice teams to take big contracts with picks. The Cavs are not desperate, I don't see the Cavs throwing in picks to get rid of Jamison. Doesn't make sense. If we are giving up picks we will be getting picks in return.

From Sam The Bullshit Whisperer's aritcle today, mentions Houston as having interest.

Finally, one source said Antawn Jamison’s name is being mentioned “maybe more than it should,“ particularly since the Cavs forward is 34 with a huge contract (two years, more than $28 million). But Jamison would be a wonderful addition to a potential playoff team or contender. The only trick for both the Cavs and a trading partner would be taking back salaries that matched the one belonging to Jamison.

Still, New Orleans and Houston are considered two teams that have both the interest and the pieces to make a deal for Jamison work.

Houston needs a center, not a backup PF.

None the less, Houston does have a lot of young pieces that I would love to see here. Jared Jeffries contract would have to be involved, but Terrence Williams, Courtney Lee, Jordan Hill & Patrick Patterson are all young and interest me. I have no clue who they would let go in a package for Jamison.

Jordan hill would be enhanced by the princeton offense, he could work in the high post really well

Came across a reading on one of the Denver boards and there is talk between the Nuggets and Houston that would send Nene to Houston.

Because Anthony is not the only player they are trying to deal, and a number of secondary trades have been discussed in the event that Melo is moved. The player drawing the most interest is their center, Nene, with the Houston Rockets at the front of the line offering a combination of young players and draft picks to give the Nuggets more of the rebuilding pieces they are seeking.

@JAM05028 Supposedly it's Yao/Chase/picks for Nene/Harrington

Jack was arrested for a DUI last night, apparently. I'd think, thankfully, that would put an end to that NOH trade.

i'd rather work with Houston because better young talent we could possibly get

Preferably Patrick Patterson or Jordan Hill
