Anthony Davis

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Lakers NEED to make this trade or they are letting their best chance for any relevance over the next five years go by. They need to offer everything. All their draft picks for the next decade, whatever. Ball, Ingram, Kuzma and every draft pick you can think of and then PRAY Davis stays healthy. (He is a pretty fragile player).

Still think the Pels would be dumb to take it and not wait till the summer. You can't let a superstar go without some kind of shot for at least an all-star in exchange, and what in the Lakers deal really looks like a future all star? Ingram and Kuzma will maybe become borderline all stars but you have to squint pretty hard at their performance this year to see even that.

I don’t think Ball is gonna be much more than what he is, probably can say the same for Ingram but I think Kuzma has potentiomal just sucks he was a 4 year college player, so he’s not as young as you’d like him. But I’m just looking off of past trades of what Kawhi went for, whst pg13 went for, what jimmy butler went for twice. I think Boston is bluffing no way in hell they trade for him even if Kyrie leaves, he’d never stay. NO needs to take this offer now. Dont be delusional. Unless they wait for Knicks offer, thsts only one that makes actual sense.

Why are you acting like the Pelicans need to be in a rush to do anything? Trading him this summer when they know the draft order, and Boston is actually available to make an offer is easily their best course of action.

The Lakers could end up having the best offer then, I doubt it, but they aren't going to pull their offer(s).

I mean Anthony Davis is 26 years old, he has a legit claim to being the best two way player in the league on a pure skill/versatility basis. He is very close to being a 30/15/5/3 (blocks) player, he is not far off that this year. Outside of Durant, who is four years older and has already basically said he won't go to LA, he is the best possible player to add to the roster. The Lakers cannot afford to throw away next year waiting to maybe -- MAYBE -- get him in free agency. It's now or never. Nothing can be off the table. Personal blowjobs from Magic for the entire Pelicans ownership and management team, it's all got to be offered.

The Pelicans don't need to be in a rush. The Lakers are the team that needs to be in a rush. Because they ain't getting him this summer once other teams can be in the mix.

Something bothers me... We are discussing about how Pelicans will rebuild and need high picks and top talent in return. So that talent can develop and bolt again? Let’s say they get Tatum.. And he develops and wants out, again... it fing sucks. Do you start to awoid big time names?

The Pelicans should make themselves stand pat until the summer.
Any offer they have now will be there in June/July; this is Anthony Davis for Chrissake.
Offers don’t “lessen” for him.
The added bonus is screwing the Lakers this season.

The Lakers offer may not be there in the summer they may shift to a s&t with Kawhi or just go for free agents and continue development

Thank you! Tatum and Brown have both taken steps back this year while Kuzma and Ingram have improved. People have really started to overrate Jason Tatum.

LOL Lakers giving away their entire team--

"The Lakers on Monday night added two more young players -- Josh Hart and Ivica Zubac -- to a trade package that already included Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball and two first-round picks, sources said."
Seriously Ball, Hart, Ingram, Kuzma, and Zubac that's an entire 1-5 lineup right there, from PG up to C, all of whom can play

Lakers trying to make up with quantity for lack of quality.

Ingram is not better than Osman. They had identical stats even before Cedi's recent surge. Yeah Ingram can improve as he is younger, but his progress so far says he won't.

Kuzma is good, but not really that good and his upside like hart's is capped by age. I dunno. Once The Lakers sign someone this summer, the offers for AD get more numerous not less. The Knicks saw themselves as a destination and they have the 2 new picks from Dallas and their own lottery pick, which they should trade for Davis. Get Kyrie and you are good.

yeah the Lakers have an entire teams worth of, like, pretty good, slightly above average players. Not really where you want to be.

It may be a bluff, but reports are now that Lakers pull out of talks:

"Magic Johnson, the Lakers president of basketball operations, told New Orleans general manager Dell Demps Tuesday morning that Los Angeles had made its best offer that the Pelicans had wanted, but that the Lakers were not willing to add anything else and would be moving on, a person said.

The Lakers were not going to give the Pelicans the six to eight draft picks they wanted for Davis, the person said, knowing that the four first-round picks and second-round picks were more than the Lakers would offer.

Late Monday night, the Lakers changed their offer at the request of the Pelicans, two people said."

Damn though, the Lakers should have given the Pelicans as many picks as they wanted. Lebron James teams don't use draft picks anyway. Besides the Lakers have been drafting in the lottery for like five years now and what has it gotten them? That's right, a mediocre team.

Just trade everything you have and play with Lebron, Davis, and three guys from the stands. Seriously would be more entertaining than what they have going now. They're an also-ran team and they blew their shot at Paul George. They need another first team all-NBA guy, they need to go for it.
