1. Z for $8 mil
2. SAR for $6 mil
(Bring Drew off the bench, provide some scoring off the bench)
(Also a little more money than what the MLE teams can offer)
3. PG from Lithuania with the rest?

I haven't really looked over all the remaining free agents so this was kind of what I thought of first.

What do you guys think they should do?

=Roster=
PG - Snow
SG - Hughes / Luke
SF - LBJ / Pavlovic / Newble
PF - Gooden / Varejo
C -

Hmm, I thought Sar was looking for a 3 yr 10 mill contract? I may be wrong.

I say we go after a pointguard, re sign Z. And thats it. We need some money for next year to resign Drew

I doubt we will have the money to secure 3 prominent players after Larry's signing. Next target is obviously Ilgauskas, which I believe will only leave 5-7 million left over. Saruanus should defeinately be the next taget in which he eats the vast majority of the remaining space. Rahim would be great to have but I dont believe we will firstly have the cap space, and secondly really need his game. Ilgauskas is needing a decent backup, so that should be looked at.

I'd look into vitaly for the vet. minimum, he's still got game.

6'10 280 long arms, wide base. He's a good compliment to Z as he adds physicality, and solid defense. I'd bring him back, windhorst mentioned cavs tried to trade for him last year, so we have shown interest in bringing him back to c-Town./

He's a guy you know will give 100% effort at the very least.

Good call E-Light. His name pops up from time to time, and Ferry would definately know his game from his time with the Cavaliers. We are lacking a bruiser in the front court, so Potatpenko will fill that role and should do so for the money we have left.

The only way we grab SAR is if Portland does a sign and trade. And Portland has already expressed that they are interested in sign and trade offers for SAR.

Vitaly has been a long time favorite of mine. He would fill in nicely on our bench replacing Tractor Traylor. I have been always down with reuniting the Euro Towers, Z and V.

If he is interested in getting with us for the vet min or close to it, Id be all for it.

I doubt he is willing to take that, we can probably get him for a deal that we got Tractor with last year, or somethign similiar.

We have that $1 mill extra, Id be all for it.

send gooden in a sign and trade..?..

What's Drew's salery look like? Anyone have that in handy?

I am not even sure Portland would be interested in Drew Gooden. If they need wingmen, we have plenty for them to choose from.

Poratland have many holes, so players like Luke, Sasha and Gooden would have some value. Drew is on his 4th year rookie contract. So that might mean around 3-4 million me thinks.

Actually guys I've heard of a rumor about Eddy Curry, apparently he is insulted by the lowballing that the Chicago Bulls are doing talking about 6 or 8 mill a year deals...I heard they are commited to chandler and duhon and aren't really there with Curry, the rumor has it that anything past 8.5 the bulls are letting him walk. I heard we are willing to extend an offer well beyond 8.5 even around 10 million the rumor says we most likely wont surpass 11 million tops to get Curry then use the mle on Sarunas or AD. I'd really like to do this I like Curry and at Z's age look for production to trickle off and for him to get hurt a little more frequently, plus this solves our center problem for a while being that curry is only 22 years old. And don't say heart problems because he was fully cleared from the whole heart murmur thing, and has already committed to losing weight to remain healthy and more productive and beleive me if we are throwing 10 million at him or more expect lebron to keep currys belly to a minimum. Also my friend had a heart murmur one year and they wouldnt let him try out he sat out the year even though he seemed fine that was in 7th grade i'm now entering 11th and he has had no problems heart related whatsoever, these things are kinda common I rely on his heart as much as Z's feet at his age. Just an inside rumor I've heard even though Ferry is Z's "good friend" LeBron is lobbying hard for Curry and 2 players off of his wishlist will keep him in a wine and gold uni for many years to come, if Ferry wan'ts any career whatsoever he must put friendship aside and worry about the happiness of LeBron James. So look for some Curry rumors now that he is rumbling with the Bulls.

Curry is talented, but he is fat, lazy, bad rebounder, bad defender. Not paying big dollars for that.

And he cut his braids off.

Don't be so harsh on Eddy guys, Hes only 22!!! Sure, hes a little overweight but hes nothing like Sweetney on the knicks, sure he may not be the best rebounder , but the kids got strenght, thats what I really want on this team. a Banger. Mike Brown is a defensive coach, thats what Curry is lacking...

Mike Brown + Eddy Curry = Good News

PS.--

He loves to run the fast break

I dont understand why people talk about centers and fast breaks in the same setence. They are the last person you want to get involved on a fast break no matter how talented they are. Curry and Gooden as a frontcourt is just plain awful defensively. I will remain solid on my view that we should not want a piece of Curry.
