Assorted Heath Trade Brainstorms Merged Into One Topic- Check Them Out Here

Re: 9 player, 3-team mega-trade

I hate this trade for us. It makes Portland the next NBA champions but doesn't really affect us. Outlaw would be a decent player but I think we wouldn't do it because we can get so much better later in the season. Haha, Eric Snow isn't a vet, he's just old.

Did Steve Kerr decide to bend over for someone?

I love this trade for us

We get a lockdown defender in Bell who can shoot the 3

We get an athletic 3 in Outlaw he would be a good player to fill Lebrons min

we get a midrange and post-up player off the bench in Frye

Chances of this happening: 0%

In your dreams will this trade happen.

lol...

Re: 9 player, 3-team mega-trade

Not gonna bother reading that whole post. Lamarcus DOES NOT = Amare, so no it DOESN'T make it ok for Phoenix to lose their two franchise faces. Sorry I know you can make fantasy thread ideas in this forum but this is beyond unbelievable. Gosh.

Guys, just a quick plea from Splitz. First to Heath, please keep your trade ideas in here. You post ideas with such frequency that you really only need one spotlight thread. I will merge any new topic you make into this one anyway. Second to the responders, let's please try to disagree respectfully. Not that I disagree with you guys but it doesn't really add anything to waste pages of a thread by dissing him. Let's simply discuss why the trade won't work or what you think is wrong with it. If it's something that Heath likes to do, simply let him, I never have the balls to do these. Most trades don't make a lot of sense for all parties that's why it takes GM's so much work to pull them off and why most never materialize. Either way, the best method is to just keep your responses on topic and not get in to arguments as much as you may want to. We are better than that on this forum and can still find meaningful discussion within Heaths threads.

(I posted this before, but it got deleted as this topic was merged over here)

I think many people are being way to over critical of Heath. He may not always have the best ideas, but instead of giving him instructive criticism, many of you are ready to burn him alive. I actually really enjoy reading all of his ideas, thinking of how that would help our team.

This last trade, for example. If Amare demands a trade, Phoenix will look to trade him, but maybe Nash will want to go to if Amare goes. Atleast this trade trades two guys who will be gone by 2010 for one stud who will be a restricted free agent, and they can keep, and start to rebuild. Portland, getting Nash and Amare, most likely will be favorites for a championship after this. They win this deal by far, IMO. Now the Cavs, we get 3 solid contributers, each who are better than the player we send out (Wally). However, if I were the Cavs, I would rather look for a deal where we can get one really good young player, who can join our young core, and be a Cav for a while, instead of 3 solid players, one of which is really old, and soon to retire (Bell), one who may not get many minutes, and bolt out in 2010 (Outlaw), and one who I can see as a Cav for a while, but isn't that great (Frye). It would just add on to our depth, though, which is a positive. I'd look first to see if there are any better options available, and strongly consider that if we do this, will we be making Portland too good. Nice idea, though.

Re: Truth and Rumors

Suns deny shopping Stoudemire

A source within the team today told us there is absolutely no truth to the Suns trading Amare Stoudemire - they're not considering it or even exploring it. They're not actively engaged in trade talk of any kind, not for Amare or even for the oft-rumored Raja Bell. Right now they're focused on getting everyone worked into the new system and finding ways to win basketball games. Trading away their best offensive weapon hardly fits into that scenario.

Re: Ideas of getting Wallace may be dead

That deal is awful for the Bobcats. I hope it is a false rumor, because I wanted G-Force on the Cavs.

Re: Ideas of getting Wallace may be dead

Larry Brown seems to like Dudley so he would probably start, and McCants has talents. Imo it would mainly be for cap purposes, and they could be concerned about Wallace's long term health. Thats if this goes down because it would be a no brainer for the Wolves....

Concerning the Phoenix/Portland/Cleveland trade Idea:

Phoenix came out and said they were not thinking of trading Amare or Raja. That usually means that they are. Now if a reporter had simply asked them, and they replied, that may not be the case, but in this case, the information was offered. Why would a person contact one of their media sources just to say they were not trying to trade anyone? Anyone remember when Wallace did that last year? He said: "We are not interested in trading Pau. He is an important building block to our franchise, and we expect him to be here for a long, long time." Three weeks later, Pau was playing in Los Angeles.

The deal does make Portland a lot better. But what is wrong with that? I want the Cavaliers to beat the best...not a scrub-finals against the Jazz. That would suck ass.

And who's to say Amare doesn't bolt for New York in 2010 anyway? Portland takes a pretty big chance with losing Aldridge and Outlaw and Blake...and they will ultimately have to get rid of more players, so they can re-sign their youngsters, because their main expiring (Raef) would be gone. However, you guys are right... Portland should add a #1 pick also.

For the Cavaliers: Raja will be around 3-4 more years, 2 of which he'll play regular minutes for sure. Raja is always in super-condition, and he will be a nice piece for the Cavs over the next couple years. Outlaw... he wouldn't be going anywhere. Does anyone really think that he'll be anywhere in the list of top-15 free-agents available in 2010? He would stay with the 2-time defending champion Cavaliers. Frye is an extra piece for us... a bridge for JJ's development. If he does well in his minutes, then the Cavs re-sign him to a small contract..around 3 million a year for 4-5 years

First off, the Jazz are pretty damn good. Not only do they have two current all-stars in Boozer and Deron, but they have a really good supporting cast, too. Okur, and Kirilenko are obiously really good, but also, no one ever talks about Ronnie Brewer or Paul Milsap, both are very good.

Also, who even said it will be the Jazz? The Lakers are the best in the West, Portland is right up there, the Hornets are great, and Houston is very good. They all have a legit chance against the Jazz.

But if it was the Jazz, everyone would here about what a D*** Boozer was. I want everyone to know that story. Utah fans are about to hate him too, once he leaves this off-season.
