Baker Mayfield: Fire The Cannons

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why did the fucking give LA 2 teams again?

Someone Needs to show that to Baker to give him an idea of what he is about to unleash. Baker is about to run this town.

I don't care what some of you think, this is why the league wants Cleveland to be good. Best football town in the country. I predict in the next 10 years 100,000+ Bakers are going to be born in hospitals in NE Ohio.

Oh and to be clear, about half of the Baby Bakers' fathers names are Bernie.

It really is.

I'm still laughing I couldn't find tickets for the last game against the Bengals and had to pay several times the value to get them.

Also the Stadium SHOOK several times when Baker would do things like hype up the crowd.

That is awesome, sadly we cant fill up the Indians Ballpark when they are contenders, but can fill up a Browns stadium in the freezing cold for a meaningless game.

Man is Cleveland one of the worst baseball towns these days (we weren't back in the day, even before we lost the Browns, but now we are)

Oh well, baseball is a distant third favorite sport to me, fifth if college football and basketball are considered.

To be fair, in the past few years when it was admittedly nearly unwatchable football, you couldn’t give away tickets for the Browns in November/December. No one wanted them. They were all over stubhub for like 5 bucks and no one budged

Now the Indians are a winning team so it makes sense to compare to when the Browns were a winning team. But 8 games vs 81 is a massive difference. If the Indians played even 16 homes games I’m sure they’d all sell out.

But that is baseball and other teams like the Cubs have sold out with bad teams.

We are just no longer a baseball town, it will be interesting to see with the Cavs sucking and maybe the Indians pick up steam are good if the secondary team switches from basketball to baseball after the all star break.

Other teams like likely one of the most supportive fanbases in the MLB in a giant city that has a booming economy?

Lee you couldn’t have possibly picked a worse example lol. If you want to discuss more I’d be happy to take it over to the attendance thread in the Indians section, but there’s no way we will be allowed to talk about Tribe attendance in the browns section for long

You can tell by the differences in the way the national media treats our teams. When the Indians are good the media ignores them (and to be fair, so does the city of Cleveland for the most part) except to speculate on which Tribe players are going to be Yankees in a few years. When the Cavaliers are good the media is flat-out resentful. The Browns have one season in which they aren't even that good, just somewhat relevant, and the media gushes over how fun they are to watch, they're must-see TV, it's so wonderful that the Browns are winning games, etc. It really is night and day.

I have always found Kevin Hart intensely unfunny and I have never quite understood his rise to fame, but I mean... Nice to see that Baker is getting out there and that people at least seem interested in him.
