This was always going to happen.

You just can't complain about attendance early in the season when the team falls apart like this mid-season every year. Fans know damn well it's going to happen and the smart ones decide not to get emotionally (and financially) invested in it.

This was always going to happen.

You just can't complain about attendance early in the season when the team falls apart like this mid-season every year. Fans know damn well it's going to happen and the smart ones decide not to get emotionally (and financially) invested in it.

Tribe shouldn't bring up attendance again after this series. They had their shot to build excitement in the city and captivate the casual fan and instead they produced the typical Cleveland sports dumpster fire.

This team has an exciting young staff going forward, but if you are relying on Asdrubal and Swisher to carry the middle of your order, you are going to have a lot of October free time. The difference between Miggy and Prince and what they do when you let men on in front of them versus what we counter with is enormous.

In a series like this, it needs to be said. For the sheer amount people bitch about fans not attending games, you/they need to be reminded why the Indians need not feel entitled to fans just blindly showing up. I've seen it all year that fans should be ashamed of themselves for not showing up, etc, etc. If you can't bring the fans a quality product for long enough to make the playoffs a single time...then the Tribe can lie in the bed they've made.

This 100%. Why is this so hard to understand? If a company makes a inferior product, would you expect someone to keep buying and buying? American cars sucked, so people stopped buying them. The Indians always collapse in the summer, so people stopped going. Same thing. Tribe needs to make the playoffs to win fans back. Can't blame the fans.

This series will have been the end of the season. We've all been here before. You can always tell.

Statistically...obviously, they're not anywhere near eliminated. But they'll fall apart from here. I'd expect something like .450 baseball the rest of the way.

There are far worse franchises around the league which have produced far less than the Indians yet continue to outdraw them easily while posted up in a similar market.

Cleveland fans are a joke, and quite frankly the team has been this week as well. But the "inferior product" is still in the playoff race. So while you're sitting in the corner bitching about how bad they are at 10 games above .500 in August, the real fans will continue to support the team in small numbers like they have since the best era in franchise history came to an end when the Browns re-established themselves in town.

It's what I do.

There are far more inferior products in baseball which outdraw the Indians, many of which are still outdrawing them despite being out of a playoff race.

It's not because Cleveland fans are smarter than other fans, that much I can assure you.
