Jigo speaking the truth in this thread. Preach it from the mountain tops!

Being a shitty front-running fan is something to really be proud of.

Cleveland pride! :chuckles:

I'm a broke grad student and I've been to 6 games this year. I don't regret any dollar I have spent. I've had a great time supporting this team and will continue to do so through the the final game.

I've been to zero games and I could easily go to two in a weekend if I so desired. I don't desire because they either suck or fall apart like this every year. If I'm attending games, there needs to be something at stake and I need to believe the Indians are capable of winning. If they made the playoffs, I'd go to at least a game per series.

Not buying tickets for this crap though.

That is a long drive for you isn't it? NC?

I'm like 1-8 versus the Tigers this year...

boy.

That escalated quickly. Great series, well played Indians. Must be time for that mid season collapse.

In all seriousness, I think it's clear the Tigers>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Tribe. They are in another plane of existence compared to Cleveland, unfortunately.

Aren't you an Irish troll?

I don't know what Irish means in this case. I'm 1/4 Irish and Idgaf about Notre Dame.

Jesus Christ can we stop with the attendance bullshit already? Every single thread has b00bie leading the charge about how everyone is wrong, he's right, and Indians's fans suck. We get it, now can you please just let it fucking drop? We know baseball is your favorite sport, it's the third wheel here. Deal with it.

You're angry.

Very very angry.

I love die hard Indians fan...blindly buying the hype every year and then smacking themselves in the face with a palm right about the same time every season.

To be fair, that time of the season is usually earlier than this year. Maybe next year they can push the collapse out another 15-20 games.

The reality is that collapses generally relate moreso to level of talent than anything like luck. One game or even one series can be a match-up thing. But when entire seasons collapse, it's a function of the product you're putting on the field.

At the moment, the Indians are filled with middling to above average talent with only two very good but not really elite players. There are no true impact players in the lineup. Santana and Kipnis are the closest things and they're very good, but on most real contenders they'd each be the third or fourth best hitter on the team. That's not good.

Tribe made some very solid moves this off-season, but their inability to truly comtend over the next couple years (barring a big trade or FA signing) will be tied to a lack of superior talent acquired in the draft over the last 4-5 years.
