Ben Gordon and Charlie V fly to Detroit...close to deals. Updated page 8

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I predict Charlie visits Cleveland tomorrow. I dont think it's a coincidence that Shaq will be in town. Ferry will use this to his advantage. I wouldn't be shocked if a couple FA candidates are here tomorrow.

Maybe Shaq will have an extra 5 million tucked away for Charlie. No one has to know.

Hi guys...Just a lurker passing some info..

From Windhorst's twitter a few seconds ago:

"In talking to agents and execs I've heard some surprising things (to me at least) about the Cavs today. I'll be giving some details soon."

NEW TWEET FROM BRIAN WINDHORST!

In talking to agents and execs I've heard some surprising things (to me at least) about the Cavs today. I'll be giving some details soon.

If its about Shawn Marion I want the other 3/4 of my star...

Surprising could be a BAD thing. Am I the only one who is nervous?

Well, it can't be too bad. We know the Cavs aren't idiots and they're professionals. They're going to do whatever it takes to get better...

Agree Godfather...

I'm guessing the "surprise" BW heard from agents is that the Cavs have been unexpectedly absent from the free agent party thus far.

Two guesses:

1. saving our cap space for 2010 by overpaying a perimeter player with the MLE to come here for one year

2. trading Z for Jamison or Boozer

I think it's something that we never expected COULD happen. I doubt B.W. would be suprised by something unless it's something outside the scope of what he thought was possible. I think it's a good thing.

If Ferry was stuck thinking INSIDE the box, then our hopes and dreams rested on CV. I don't see that. If Ferry is thinking outside the box, and he usually does, then maybe he is about to get unconventional and pull something off.

Ferry isn't just sitting there. He's wheeling and dealing. Maybe we'll find out soon just how much wheeling and dealing he is doing.

My guess is that it involves trading Z which should send PIP into a state of euphoria rivaling when Sasha was traded.

whats so bad about it?

all of you shit your pants talking about the greatness of dwest all day and then they are also get varejao who was great as our starter last season then they get hickson who everyone is so high on, and lastly they get boobie gibson who is a great bench player when hes not in a funk (hes been great so far except for last season). how is this a bad trade?

You really just answered that yourself.

I can only hope.

I fear they're either literally doing NOTHING. Or, they want to split the MLE on a bunch of bums.

Z is the only thing that makes sense. If he gets bought out he still gets paid for the most part. He knows it's a business, and he knows that his team needs young talent. Z just makes sense. I hate to say it, but it's the smart business move.
