Antifa isn't the only example of ctrl-left. If you want to silence free speech because you don't like what they have to say? That is ctrl-left, and it's happening in major universities.
Can you explain how this creates an entire class of political ideology, i.e. this "ctrl-left." I ask because both elements of the left
and the right have a history of silencing free speech; so can you disaggregate and disentangle the notion of free speech rights and the opponents thereof sufficiently as to associate free speech opposition with elements largely of the left, historically and contemporaneously, and not of the right?
If you're okay with violence to suppress views that disagree with your progressive agenda, that is ctrl-left, and it isn't just antifa.
But you could say the same about fascist right-wingers if and when violence becomes an opportune way of advancing a right-wing agenda; and that's demonstrably true throughout history, is it not?
If you smear your opposition and dishonestly represent their views because it differs from your liberal views, and you resort to calling them a bigot; that is ctrl-left or regressive left.
Are you saying the nonsensical term "regressive left" is synonymous in meaning with your usage here of the term "Ctrl-Left?" So that, when I read you saying "Ctrl-Left," I should recall Dave Rubin and Sam Harris' use and definition of the term "Regressive Left?" And thus, any previous critique of this term and it's use would equally be applicable right?
That would also imply that the naming of the term "Ctrl-Left" is in fact a renaming of the mostly defunct and less used term "Regressive Left" in an effort to (as said above) draw some form of false equivalence between what Rubin and Harris would describe as "Social Justice Warriors" and the Alt-Right.
And it would also seem to entail the term being more of an epithet than a legitimate classification of ideological beliefs; just as the term "Regressive Left" is used and defined, as a means of
pejoratively attacking a group rather than categorizing their ideology.
So, am I understanding you correctly here?
You still haven't explained where you're going with this..
Just seems like you have a bone to pick with Cenk and you're not really explaining why.. You said the other day he was one of the most horrible human beings (in some sort or another) over "the past 2 years," but never explained why you think this is true.
