All major networks have bias. Extreme bias.
8% trust the media. 20% have strong issue with media, but generally believe. The remainder do not trust the media.
Fox news is pulling 3 million viewers per block, the biggest cable news networks aggregate to a similar number.
That's not many people considering 320 million.
For now, podcasts and alternative media seem to have undermined the power of the dinosaurs. They are the ones being more truthful, so they are currently winning. If they get big enough, they'll corrupt as well.
Its up to the people to find their own sources. Some are fine living in their bubble. They want their worldviews reinforced, and have grown dependent on the blasts to dopaminergic neural receptors, and liking huffpo adds to incorporate their own personalized, insular bubble.
People should find sources upfront with their biases who pledge to reporting the truth.
And probably spend less time learning things that are only relevant today. If it's only relevant today, is it actually relevant? Or is it superfluous bullshit pushing out other more pertinent information and using up too much time in your day to day that could be spent elsewhere?
