Q-Tip made a comment about the apolitical nature of the topic, to which I disagreed with his assessment regarding the thread (not his post); and then you came in with a political post of your own.

Canada ranked number 1 in list of countries that care the most about international rankings

TORONTO – Canada is taking the number 1 spot once again this year on US News and World Report’s annual ranking of the countries on Earth that care the most about international rankings.

It’s the 35th consecutive time since the ranking began 35 years ago that Canada was ranked number 1. North Korea and Russia round out the top 3, with a large gap in scores separating the top 3 from the world’s other countries.

Claiming the bottom spot for the 35th year in a row was the US, whom researchers described as “firmly not giving a shit about what anyone thinks to a detrimental extreme”.

The study, conducted by Y&R’s BAV Group in collaboration with The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, uses a combination of media analyses and surveys to determine how much citizens in each country “actually cared about arbitrary rankings published in obscure publications around the world.”

According to the authors of the study, the report “sheds important light on how vainly different countries around the world seek any sort of approval from others”.

Canada’s continued supremacy at the top of the list continues to baffle researchers.

Analysts remarked that other rankings, like those putting Canada third last in healthcare among 11 developed countries and first for household indebtedness in the world, continue to follow their mysterious trend of not provoking the same viral response.
