Browns rant thread.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You've dealt with this shit I am guessing the majority of your adult life. Most definitely since 1999. Why is now apparently the breaking point?
Given the amount of shit we've endured, any point can be the breaking point. More of a miracle we've all lasted this long.

The funny part is that the people who thought we were still going to suck are the ones crying the loudest. Why are you acting surprised?

No, a team that has won 4 of its last 40 has many legit things to complain about.

So you wanna compare this team to the teams of the last two years? What are we doing here? We comparing three games of Kizer to Josh McCown, RGIII, and Johnny Manziel? We didn't have our two best defensive player today and still haven't seen Garrett.

Our pass catchers dropped 8 passes. We on't have a true number 1 WR right now. Our rookie Safety struggled today. Our players have still played harder and fought harder in these first three games than years past. The things we are missing on are the exact things that teams capitalize on when they play young teams. The dumb ass penalties and miscommunications are showing a lot of youth and inexperience.

There's a difference between being concerned about the youngest team in the league with the youngest Qb coming off a 1-15 season versus teams that we supposedly built to win games. It's very clear the direction that the organization is going right now. What are the really big complaints and concerns right now through three games?

Somewhere in one of these threads, I predicted the Browns to win 4 games with a range of 2-6 games. I was shocked when I saw some folks calling for 7, 8, 9 wins. That was delusional.

At best I thought 6-10. And I thought they would probably start the season 0-4 (didn't know Luck would be out). I still think they should win 3-4 games. But 1-2 games is possible.

Today was winnable, and it is disappointing. It's going to be a long week in Berea. The Bengals are looking much better today. Don't be shocked at 0-4.

If you haven't learned by now, don't watch the Browns in September and October. Go enjoy the fall weather. Go to the Lake. Go to a clambake. Enjoy your life.

We spent 6 draft picks on WR/TE the last 2 years and all of them suck

We spent a shit ton of resources into the OLine and still can't protect the passer

Our rookie QB is getting worse

We have no pass rush and our top draft pick might be injury prone

Our secondary is terrible and our first round safety has been terrible

Our head coach struggles with time management

Other than that, A-OK!

I'll respond to this also. I'm 34. Been following this team since I was a baby. The move didn't really affect me much. I was like 10/11. Killed me dad, they came back in 99 and I bought in big time like he did. All I've known is shit. All I've seen is shit. I was an NFL fan, but between these shitty Browns and now this social justice/kneeling/Trump bullshit...I'm about 90% checked out. 4-40. Fuck man. Being surrounded by Steeler and Pats fans makes it even worse.

A good portion of what lost us these last couple games are fixable mistakes by a young team. The penalties and turnovers are eventually going to subside. Unfortunately, our secondary and receiving corps are toast. I think the receivers will do alittle better once they are given more regular season action and practice considering about half of them were picked up off practice squads recently. The lack of a run game is on Crowell for not making the most of his opportunities, Hue for his shitty play calling, and the offensive line for being completely underwhelming. Side note: Fuck Ricardo Louis

I'd rather take losses because of a team being young and mistake prone rather than terrible and completely hopeless. I'm not sticking with this team through another rebuild. If the philosophy is to go with youth and let them grow then fucking stick with it.

I was 9 in 1999, so I've grown up with shitty football teams. I don't remember 1994 or anytime before that. This is all I know. I try giving the Browns the benefit of the doubt this season and last but it's unbearable at times.

Did you really think the Browns were going to win this season AND last season?!

I will say I find it odd you're preaching patience and saying what should we expect when literally 2 weeks ago you said there's a chance the Browns have the best record in the NFL in week 7. You changed your tune quickly

The big complaints for me

1. The WRs look atrocious and Coleman can't stay on the field. 8 drops today. Just no one defenses even need to respect. Our best WR is literally Duke fucking Johnson followed by a 2nd year TE, and a 20 year old TE. We just drafted 4 wrs last year and honestly? Is anyone that confident in the position? I think it's actually our WORST pKaitlin

2. We are 1 for our last 19. We don't look improved at all from last year. I'm sorry but this team should NOT be a 3 win team this year. And it's looking very possible

3. Why we drafted a guy who almost exclusively played in the box and have had him 25 yards off the ball. Seriously when are we going to scrap this?

There's just a shit ton of uncertainty. And it's not too much to ask after 2 drafts and 25+ draft picks to look a little better than the single worst team in the NFL

LEts also not forget we have the highest paid Oline in the NFL and abandon the run every single game regardless of score

Not to mention no semblance of a consistent ground game. Crowell has a blind fold on when he runs. Bold move, Cotton, let's see if he can get two yards.

Like I posted in the tank thread, this is such a weird start to the season because a bunch of young guys are playing well or at least making plays, but the overall team results just haven't been there yet.

Hopefully Garrett is able to go next week.
